Albeit the curriculum is deteriorating gradually, it's still a good school particularly in high school. The administration though should be more picky in choosing students especially in the college department. Too bad, I heard from the grapevine that students are engaging in girl to girl relationships.
That's soooooooo TRUE. There are a lot of girl-to-girl relationships in St. Scho.

I think academically... ICA and Miriam are good schools.

    My choices:

    1) Woodrose - They speak proper English without infusing conioticisms, though they might seem conio because of all the English they use. They're easy to get along with, they've got good morals, and they're well bred. They also tend to know more of their catechism and philosophy than other schools.

There's the bad apple here and there, but what school doesn't have that? AND it's a SMALL population. Hehe. Everyone's part of the same family (everybody knows each other) and the students can get the proper attention they need from their teachers. The teachers and parents are in constant communication too! So the parents are always kept updated. Also, it's inside Ayala Alabang -- you have to get through the village security first and then get through the school security. So yeah, relatively safe! Any new face that doesn't belong is given a second look.

There's the usual bullying etc, but as the girls mature, everybody bonds and everybody starts protecting their own. I remember one of our batchmates had a hard time coming up with the tuition so she was supposed to transfer. Somehow, things were arranged in such a way that she could.

The downside, certain new policies need to be reversed, and perhaps in time, they will be. Hopefully, the quality of education there won't go down. Another downside, the people here are right: they've got their own world (thereby too sheltered and they sometimes keep to themselves), they may sometimes choose their friends and might even be elitists and come out looking like snobs, and it's really hard to catch the eye of a Woodrose girl if you're a guy who wants to date one. According to some, they're too choosy, high-maintenance, et cetera.

I love Woodrose anyway. I studied in a PAREF school for kindergarten, then Woodrose from first grade til my high school graduation.

    2) Poveda or Assumption, San Lorenzo -- I don't know that many people from there (other than the ones I met in UP Dili, and there weren't as many as other schools), but I noticed that they're a bit affected with their speech and the way they present themselves. Despite that though, they're incredibly nice people and they seem well-bred! Well, according to my brother though, AC San Lo are down-to-earth individuals!

    3) ICA -- Their academic achievement is impressive! They also all strike me as intelligent, diligent, and responsible people. The only downside is a non-Chinese might feel alienated.

sa lahat naman yatang exclusive school for girls, pati boys, may mga ganyan e. feel ko hindi na maiiwasan kasi limited lang ang chance nila para makapag-interact with the opposite gender.sa tingin ko lang ha.

    From a guy's POV:

Assumption - I've never met an Assumptionista I admired or considered an equal. I think they're cute sometimes, in the same way pets are cute. But they seem bred to be wives (someone said powerful wives, whatevs) or focused too much on the world around them. My impression is you can talk to them about babaw stuff like who knows who, trends, popular movies, the scene, etc. but I can't imagine them lifting the conversation up to topics of substance.

I haven't met a lot, a few from college and work. I even had a cousin who went there for college. Maybe I'm wrong, but so far, this is what I observed.

St. Theresa's - Down to earth girls. Don't know a lot.

Holy Spirit - Almost all the girls I know there have one form of topak or another. I mean, girls are emotionally volatile enough but the girls I meet from HS run a gamut of female character disorders. There's the too-talkative-and-outspoken type who's never had a bf at 30, there's the beautiful but manic depressive slashing type (who is a very dear friend by the way, and one of the most beautiful girls I know), the genius but pop culturally lost ( a cousin), the princess syndrome (another cousin), the where-does-she-keep-finding-these-jerks type, and so on.

Interesting women, if you can handle their dementia.

Poveda - One of my favorite girl's school. All the girls I know here are pretty, nice, friendly, and cool. Some are cowboy, some are sosy, and some are even a mix. Through it all there's a coolness they bring in the sense of security they exude. They are who they are, and I've never met a boring Poveda girl.

St. Paul Pasig - Another favorite. Two of my bestest girlfriends came from this school. All Paulinians I know have very good English, written and spoken, Yet they're some of the most down to earth people I know. Again I don't know a legion of them, but the few I do know have become so close to my heart I can't help but have respect for the school that formed them.

    St. Scholastica IMO

I would have to say ST THERESA'S COLLEGE because I studied there (prep-4th yr hs). It's amazing how when I was still studying in STC, I used to think the excruciatingly hard things they make us do was extremely useless. But when I started college, everything was a breeze. I learned it all in STC. I wouldn't think twice about putting my future kids in my alma mater. Let your light shine. Hehehe.

As for other schools, I think St Scho is really good. I have friends from that school and they're nice, friendly and really smart. Povedans too! And people from ICA are nice and smart. I hate to generalize, but all the people I met from Miriam were the "maarte" type...and I met a lot. One even stole my guy, and the rest of the flock backed her up. Oh well, I guess there are just some rotten ones because I know Miriam girls are hella smart. So no offense met, some bad ones just happened to enroll in your school. Oust them! Hehe. :-)
