Being a member of the De La Salle Chorale Id say we are considered one of the best but we still need more exposure to be considered the best.

what's the latest with your choir?

Well we have a lot of concerts..but not that big...we cant really afford to hold a new concert since after the Europe tour that we had last summer some memebers left na coz they graduated already thats why we are having a very hard time to bring back the old sound of the DLSU Chorale. DLSU Chorale is very small compared to other choir groups. Well right now we're less than 20 kaya its really hard to stage a new concert. Pero we will have a national and provincial tour by summer.

Who really is the best?

Para sa akin mga PINOY. Bakit ba natin pagtatalunan kung sinong ensemble ang da best.

Bakit ba sa mga Pilipino eeh may time pang pag-awayan ang mga ganitong bagay eh kung tutuusin eh pare-pareho rin namang nagbibigay ng karangalan para sa ating bansa.

Ako nga, taga-UP ako pero hindi ko kinampihan ang Madrigal. Hindi rin ako kumampi sa ibang ensemble.

Puwede, next time, mag-postt tayo ng topic dito na hindi mag-reresult sa awayan o conflict ng mga members.

Well , honestly ..and without any bias , I have always thought that the UST Singers are the best in the country , and even in the world. The Madz have already proven their worth , kung baga they're already an institution .. but let's face it , they don't sound as good as they did b4. But for this year ( 2000 ) , I think the Ateneo College Glee Club are making themselves known again. They may be the best for this year ..and maybe in the ones to come.

I actually thought that this was a loaded question considering that the Ateneo Glee Club won that competition recently. Guess I was wrong.

The Ateneo de Manila College Glee Club are world choral champions this year having swept almost all the grad prize sa europe. actually all are good naman...basta kung pinoy ang mananalo dapat maging proud tayong lahat di ba?

The beauty of music will always belong to those who listen to it, same goes for choosing certain groups(chorals). You cannot expect people to fall for your particular group just because of so many distinctions.Therefore What's best for you is not neccesarily the same for others. Always hold what you feel is best in your heart, and do not insult others for thinking differently from you.
Personaly, I have heard La Salle, UST and Ateneo and have friends in all three choirs. I would have to admit that they are all very good, being human though they all have their weakneses. Personally, I'm not a music fan. So it doesn't really matter to me who can carry a tune and who can't. So long as it sounds nice, ok na sa akin yun.

I know that all of the above mentioned chorale groups have bagged titles abroad, then, I would conclude that they are all world class. They are all magnificent.

Why fight over a chorale group guys? I think whenever they compete abroad they are representing the PHilippines and not some University. May that university be in taft, espana, diliman, katipunan or wherever. It ceases to be representing one particular school. Instead, it is representing the Filipino people.
