sabotahe: I can actually name some people who came from Southridge (even Woodrose) who flunked and then went to Zobel. Actually dapat one of the guys I know was supposed to repeat a year in Southridge but then he was shipped of to Zobel...and then he was in. And he went on in same batch without having to repeat a year or whatever. Just stating facts here...

    jopert: yup! They're my batchmates.

Kurt Angle: What are you talking about?! As far as I can remember, the most infamous dumpsites are Smokey Mountain and Payatas -- BOTH located in the North. Do your research, dude!!! Both places were dumping grounds for Metro Manila's (including the South) trash. Kala ko pa naman smart ka, a**h*** ***! I guess now you've lost your only redeeming quality...

Hazlamahedich!: winterswirl was being sarcastic, don't you get it? What made you think she came from the South anyway? And please refrain from making racist comments btw, I'm not Chinese-- baka lang i-assume mo).

I've been thinking about my list of top 5 schools. I think I've left out a very important school. Now this is probably THE BEST school in the South: the Philippine High School for the Arts in Makiling. It has long been a source of our country's pride. Artists such as Cecile Licad, Grace Nono, etc. have come from this institution. Even Bb. Pilipinas Nina Ricci Alagao was a product of this school. Of course, it helps that all their students are "Iskolar ng Bayan." If only I can remember the other well-known artists from that school...

No other school (not even my own) can claim to have cradled so much talented individuals!

saka dito sa south, hindi tambakan ng basura ang sistema....landfill....dahil diyan, tumataba ang lupa....

eh diyan, puro tambak ng tambak, kaya naiipon ang basura hanggang maging ga-bundok na.....

saka ano ba ang na-award-an ng cleanest, greenest city in metro manila for 3 straight years?!?!? Las Pinas!....san ba ang las pinas?? nasa south!!!

    Cool

Definitely, Zobel is the best and the coolest school in the south. In fact, to some people, it is the only school in the south that they know of. What makes DLSZ such a popular school is the high tuition (the tuition increases tremendously every single year, but it is certainly worth the money you're spending), modern facilities other schools in the south still don't have (olympic-sized swimming pool; 1000 seater theater), competent teaching faculty (100% of all teachers have college degrees; school administration pays for tuition of teachers taking their masters and doctorate degrees at DLSU-Main), great academic programs (DLSZ has consistently been topping both the NEAT and NSAT in terms of scores), an excellent sports program (basketball and volleyball teams for both boys and girls have won first place in numerous national competitions), and a competitive extra-curricular program for its students (both DLSZ Grade School and High School Choirs have won in numerous local and international singing competitions).

In addition to that, Zobel produces the most promising high school graduates every single year. Majority of the graduates from Zobel end up studying in prestigious schools like UP, DLSU, and Ateneo. Only a few study in schools other than the 3 mentioned. And it is worth pointing out that Zobel students are well-trained and prepared for college evidenced by the big number of students who become active in various organizations, sports, and other extra-curricular and academic activities during college, like joining the student council and the varsity teams. It is not surprising when a Zobel graduate wins a contest or is honored with an award of excellence because Zobel students are definitely trained for the future to become leaders and well-rounded individuals.

Not many schools in the south, or even in the north for that matter, have done what De La Salle Zobel has done to its students: that is, to mold them into Christian achievers for God and Country.

    Need I say more?

    ANIMO LA SALLE!!!

it is true that there are southridge and woodrose dropouts that are now enrolled in Zobel. It does make me feel bad that my alma mater accepts the "latak" from the other schools. But I'd like to see it in different light. I believe that with a Lasallian education, these dropouts will realize their potentials and improve themselves...

No, we are not banking on the Santiago Zobel part of our name...as mentioned earlier by one of the people who posted that we are riding on the Ayalas...you really think prominent BUSINESS group of companies can actually make a school sound better ? Microsoft didn't help the reputation of AMA by a whole lot you know...

As for the northerner...hindi ka kasama sa usapan ha...wala bang ibang kumakausap sa iyo?
