there are a lot of threads about this already. and many pexers have commented on LDR. it all boils down to 1 thing, that it is hard to keep a long distance relationship. still, if both of you are willing to make it work, this will entail a lot of communication, more trust, and love. no one can decide your relationship's fate but you guys. good luck!

It doesn't work! I've been there before! Imagine i spent 6yrs with a guy here in manila and when he decided to work abroad in just three months we broke up!

Communication? We are always talking everyday! Believe me pag mei nakita na yan iba or vise-versa, no matter how often you communicate, pwede **** itago un sayo. What's impt is honesty and if the person loves you tlaga, he/she will do everything to keep you and assure you na ikaw lang tlaga! And it takes two to tango! So dpat both of you will make it work.

naku, eto nnman ako same issue ulit..di na ata ako madadala. I'm hooked up with this canadian guy..o diba? long distance ulit? saya saya..kakainis!

LDR is hard to maintain but it is very much possible to work. there are different views about this thing. i searched the existing thread regarding this topic for you: Surviving a LONG Distance Relationship

as you read, i hope you learn a lot of things. it's failure, and success stories as well.

Trust me, it does work. I've been there and it is quite satisfying... Prayers lang and faith sa partner mo ang kailangan and it will work. God will help you.

janelle, im also in an LDR..

we've been sweethearts for 7 years muna then we separated because I'll be going to Dubai to work and help my sister finish college.

Nung college days even after that, LDR din kami. we just see each other once a week, pero quality time naman. Now, its been 1 year na LDR kami and in God's grace, nakakasurvive thru constant communication...this is the main ingredient to keep up the relationship e. Minsan i sink into the frustrating feelings of LDR, di mo naman maiiwasan yon e, pero may CHOICE ka naman to be miserable or not..since nagdecide ka rin naman to stay in the US e. dapat nun pa lang hinanda mo na rin sarili mo.

    Kaya yan girl..pray hard.

haven't been in that situation, but from my friend's experience, nobody lasts in LDR.

Presence is really important in a relationship. They say: absence
makes the heart grow fonder, its different if you are there for each other kc. Imagine, if your bf/gf is down and you were not there to comfort them and sympathize with them? the tendency is --> they're goin to look for someone who can fill up the missing "you"... iba pa rin kc yun "physically" present ka... admit it or not, a relationship comprises not just pure emotion, communication and whatsoever... kelangan din ng physical touch... comfort and caress! and you cannot give it to him/her if you're oceans apart... even miles away!

Been there, done that. It's really hard but it depends on your trust, patience, love and communication with each other. When you don't talk or communicate that much, it's easier to get tempted to do things that would be bad for the relationship. I guess all I can say is "good luck".
