i installed fiamm on my crosswind and it sounds like an expedition...

but loud horns are very essential in driving city road like in manila (tondo area) where people tend to standby the road and bicycles roam the place

good horns brands are availble on hans tools at shangri la ...you can even test it there......

I've got Fiamms... Newly installed... My friend said it's cool, ganda raw ng tunog, pang exped, not irritating and pang- executive... I think it's kinda like a jeep, though... I guess I don't have taste... Hehe... Our helper said it's kinda like a bus or truch...

The Stebel Magnums are less irritating than the Nautilus? Or are they just as noisy?

nautilus is really loud. magnums are just right. pero imo, mas swabe yung tunog ng fiamm. its just that in my experience, sirain ang fiamm.

  9. #29
yung fiamm ko sintonado na. pag nabasa ngongo. kailangan i dry *** ma restore yng tunog

  10. #30
Yup, thats a common problem with the Fiamms and Bosch horns (i'm not sure about the Stebels). The best is to really mount them high and cover them with plastic when the engine is washed. If it gets wet, drying with an air compressor also helps.

Buti na lang tago yung stock location ng horns ng Lancer itlog. They're under each headlight, behind the bumper and further protected by the wheel well liner. Ingat na lang sa baha kasi medyo mababa

    Ship horn kaya?

FIAMMs hate water? My car horn just conked out and I’m planning to replace it with a FIAMM. The usual mount of car horns is in front of the radiator just behind the grill. Obviously, this is one of the worst places to mount something that isn’t suppose to get wet but it’s the best place to mount a horn (to direct the sound forward and to, as much as possible, isolate the passenger from the sound). Where then is the best place to put them?

Kakabili ko lang ng Stebel Magnums. I like the sound, may pagka-"potpot" hehe, naaalala ko tuloy yung naglalako ng puto. Pero malakas at buo ang tunog. Maganda rin sana yung Stebel Nautilus kaso masyado iskandaloso yung lakas baka mag reklamo yung mga kapitbahay. At least these are better than those stock Bosch horns I had na "piiit-piiit" ang tunog. Pag nabasa pa ngongo na.

Get one of those that is mounted on the top of the big rigs or locomotive. Mount it the hood or roof of your car, that look really awesome. Just a joke, does it matter if its made by FIAMM or BUSCH, its mounted inside your engine bay and they all sound the same.

Great idea on mounting it outside! Till somebody steals it 5 minutes after you park your car.

    Stebel Nautilus

Thanks to all those who posted on this thread, very informative siya.

My driver went to canvass sa Banawe and he got quotes that ranged from 1000-2100 (labor is another 250) and I told him that I saw a post in the internet pointing us to C3 4x4 shop which is a stone's throw away from our office. Ended up buying from them, P1,000 Stebel Nautilus inclusive of Relay+Labor, so para siyang 850+150. The 750 is the generic "Nautilus" lang, not the Stebel branded.

He scratched his head and said..."grabe, sobrang taga talaga sa banawe". I'd have to agree, as much as possible, I don't want to buy things from Banawe na, taga na, mayayabang pa.
