    Hi guys,

Sa mga madalas or nakapag Bolinao na, Can you refer any contacts? Either package (van mla-bolinao-mla) or contact pag dating sa Bolinao. On leave kasi ko next week and yet wala ko pupuntahan!

I've just been to bolinao last holyweek(Good Friday to Easter Sunday). It was superb. We stayed at SCL Garden Beach Resort.

Dun napakabait ng staff, even the owner, hands-down sa bait. Very affordable naman, front beach and lahat pwede niyo hiramin sa kanila kung magluluto kayo roon. Napaka-accomodating. There's a fee of 300, pero ok yun as in lahat mahihiram niyo from kaserola to kutsara at tinidor. WOW!

Beach was good, not as great as dun sa may bandang Patar, mababaw lang ang tubig sa shore, pero dun sa may reef(or what they call basagan ng alon), malalim na pero dangerous. Irregular ang lupa sa ilalim. Some are deep pero biglang bababaw. The waves are not going to the shore because of what they call 'basagan ng alon'. I thought there was a breakwater kasi siguro from the resort to the huge waves, mga at least 100-200 meters pa. Aakalain mong meron talaga, pero according dun sa lifeguard na naglilibot, it's really dangerous dun sa 'basagan ng alon' or reef dahil biglang lalim daw dun sa part na yun. That's why ang alon is hindi umaabot sa seashore. Probably because of the pressure sa ilalim. Ang lalim daw is 3 tall coconut trees.

The beach is swimmable naman kahit hindi high tide.

If you wanna go outside of the resort, may mga tricycles naman who would pass by and offer their services. We paid 300 to go up to Patar beach, that's the farthest. Tricycle lang po talaga ang mode of transpo if manggagaling kayo sa mga terminal ng bus such as Five Star or Victory Liner. Our manong tricyble driver naman was very nice and he didn't take advantage of us.

Then yung lighthouse, ganda pag nandoon kayo because makikita niyo from the top ang dagat. Near the lighthouse if you go down the hill is the famous Patar beach. It's open for public, no entrance fee. Pero when we were there sobrang dami rin ng tao. Probably kasi Holy Week. There are cottages naman that you can rent. Some pa nga have their tents near the shore for an overnight stay I guess.

The only resort along the famous Patar beach from what I know is Treasure's of Bolinao w/c is more expensive.

There are places that we were not able to visit because it's too far already, though part of Bolinao still. Such as the Tara Falls and Bolinao Falls, but the price of going there is... 1,300 pesos. It's in the opposite direction kasi at lalabas ka pa ng main road, sa kabilang part ng Bolinao iyon near Bani, Pangasinan na raw. Mga 25-30 kms daw yun according to our tricycle driver so kung gusto niyo talaga mapuntahan iyon, dapat marami kayo para hindi mabigat. Maybe next time, we'll go there.

Haha!
great description just like how we experienced it. the small swamp is actually a lagoon ... wala ng kalabaw na nagtatampisaw ...

you could also try to rent a beachside cottage along the coconut plantations before Patar. its not a resort but you'll have the entire beach front for yourselves with matching bonfire at night. it where we got to taste our first kalderettang sawa. the water is clear and you could walk from the beach up to basagan at low tide in the morning. it is better to stop when you start seeing clusters of seaweed because the drop is near that area.

beachcombing is great and you'll be able to pick up dozens of souvenirs from crabs, sand dollars, sea urchins, shells, starfish and saltwater fishes trapped in small ponds.

the only problem, you have to dig your cars out of the sand because there are no road going to those cottages.

sabi nga nila love your own, so, sa mga walang magawa this summer season, i would suggest you guys to visit our place. if you've been to palawan, calaguas, batanes, boracay, bohol etc. definitely, hindi na kayo masyadong ma-e-excite sa place namin but one thing's for sure, it's the cultural heritage, conservation of marine life and the hospitality of the bolinaonons that would definitely keep you coming back. objectively speaking, very cheap lang ang magagastos pag nag tour ka sa bolinao. so, there's nothing to lose. besides, we all live to explore the wonders of God's creation...
