It used to be. Taft Ave was once just the present northbound lane and La Salle's fence extended up to there. Then fence was put up to keep carabaos from nearby rice paddies away (read... this was circa 1920). Eventually the city government purchased that land to widen Taft Ave. (sometime after the war). So the posts of the LRT stand on, well at least once upon a time, DLSU land.

On another note... the sidewalk in front of DLSU is still owned by DLSU.

seriously though, your school's got a nice new look, the white paint added an extra appeal to the beggars, and your sports complex now gives your school more reason to ASK FOR MONEY from you guys, FOR LESS!!! imagine your tuition fee sky rocket and the quality of education won't even improve a bit! NOW THAT IS DEFINITELY TRUE!!!
Ms Donald's? Can you check your spelling muna before you post your assorted nonsense here. And another thing bawal na ang smoking sa U.M. Petting ang necking ha? Bakit nakapunta ka na ba sa U.M at may nakita ka? Siguro ikaw nag va-vitamin J (as in jack) sa kalagitnaan ng Katipunan. Spare us with your idiotic antics will ya.

Archives of the LaSallian and Ang Pahayagang Plaridel would show you pictures of the McDonald's compound as a parking lot, the issue being (what else?) inadequate parking space.

    So much for this thread!

Best building... Sports Complex. Though I saw the plans for the Admi Building and I could say it would be a beauty when finished in 2002.

    Animo La Salle!

I'm a part of Ang Pahayagang Plaridel and we got hold of some blueprints... the theater is actually going to occupy 3 floors of the building, and will seat 1400 people (compared to William Shaw's measly 300).

The design of the theater was done by Cass Jones, the original technical director of Miss Saigon.

Basta gibain na nila yung WSLT... acoustic nightmare yung lugar na yun eh! Gawin na lang nilang classroom... hehehee.

for me it's the L building even though i don't really like it.

why? because i've been with that building since day 1 of my DLSU life, may 24, 2004. of course, excluding term breaks, no classes, sundays etc. hehehe.

the A building is also nice since it's new. but it's like a zoo in there because of the froshies. hehehe.

Best Building (classroom yung tinitingnan ko ah pati facilities):
    Yuchengco
    Next two would be:
    Andrew
    LS

Yuchengco and Andrew. You'll really appreciate the two halls especially when nature calls.

Andrew There is a library, cybernook, chapel, etc. Profs don't have to travel million miles to get to IMS para magpareserve ng laptop or something. And elevator away lang ang room.

In terms of architectural beauty, LS and Yuchengco Halls are my picks, for they exude greatness that defines La Salle.

In terms of usefulness, I guess Andrew and Yuchengco would top the lists. Andrew can almost stand on its own because of the numerous facilities housed there, while Yuchengco houses a lot of classrooms, offices, a spacious museum and even a huge auditorium.

A lot of people say that the best restrooms are at Yuchengco. I think I should find out why...

I miss yuchengco 6th floor! whether hang-out lang, a quiet place to study, practice class presentations or finish those parusang papers nadidiscover na nga lang ** ng konti konti.
