    Funny thing about the 6.09b vs. 5.84c issue

    Is that in tournaments 5.84c is used because it's the last version to be used before the transfer to the 6th series. Unless Team DAS stopped Dota at 6.09b then you still see people playing 5.84c.


    I remember that there was a tournament for 6.0x something that was announced for weeks before, but as time goes nearer to the tourney date, people were already playing the updated versions. In the end, they decided to say and screw it and decided upon 5.84c. Which alot of people joined.

    recommend a good hero for a beginner please. i've tried rouge knight, i stunk. i tried the panda brewmaster, i did better, but i still stunk.

    check out www.dota-allstars.info for heroes list and items list. for earlier versions yung ibang items pero nonetheless the latest version 6.09b fixed all the bugs and some inconsistencies of the game.

    -Item drop system: When an item is cooling down, you cannot drop it, afterwards you may drop it. So all undroppable/sellable/movable items can now be manipulated. This idea was originally suggested by Trystero and WWAN.
    -I am aware of possible balance issues with the new hereos. Newer versions will be released in the near future as balancing needs for the new heroes require.
    -A Chen return may happen in the near future version, along with a possibility of some form of a techie change (wanted to limit the number of big changes in this version to monitor balance better)
    -Axe may be tweaked slightly next version, but i feel this distribution allows for better ways of fine tuning him
    -Added short Invoker guide to quest menu

    In response to questions/comments about Fun Tavern:

    I'm not prepared to have invoker participate in a competitive tournament at this point, so its either remove him or make him availablle via 1 extra command. About techies, a large portion of this community wanted him removed. Instead of removing him, i allow him to be used as normal via 1 command. This tavern allows for alot more fun things in the future too.

    Just because a heroes moved to this tavern doesn't not mean in any way that he won't make it back.

    Just because a heroes moved to this tavern doesn't not mean in any way that he won't make it back. It is mostly temporary. Most new heroes will also make a stop there for a version before coming to main, to help map stability.

    Invoker:

    A hero with 27 abilities should have been placed in this type of tavern to begin with. He isn't moved here due to balance, its due to potential bugs, as with any hero with 27 abilities may have. After a version or so, he will be restored. Don't worry

    Techies:

    He was NOT moved because he was imbalanced, he wasn't. He was also not moved due to "newbs crying" like some of you put it. Most of the people who had a say in him being moved were highly skilled recognized players in the community. He was moved instead of removed completely because there are still techie lovers. I will consider a -nf mode that some of you suggested for a future version.


    Clinkz:

    I don't think he was or is too strong. He was nerfed in some areas and buffed in others (bounty hunter also buffed/nerfed in different areas). However, i do think his design is bad. His design isn't great now either, but my goal is to have him require more skill and also be playable against good opponents. Currently his position is to feed on newbs and get fat or be useless versus real opponents. Neither position is good for a real hero. So no, its not about newbs complaining, but a design flaw in him.


    Speaking as a dota player and not a developer, i can see why some would say that the direction its taken in the last version and this were not good, and i agree. All i can tell you is that i am aware of it and will improve/fix it in the near future.
