Chauvenistic? Medyo. Magulo at maingay oo. Subukan mong mag-aral sa library sa side ng Colayco at maiintindihan mo. Okey naman sila pero nga lang parang hindi ko nakitang magseryoso sila nang maayos sa pag-aaral (yun nga ang dahilan kung bakit ka Atenista, di ba?) Mula pa panahon ko, ganoon na sila. (Nagtapos ako nung 1992). Kahit nung guro na ako, ganoon pa rin.

Well said RuckuS, half of the members in the battalion, are not ASSOC. These are two separate entities and like what the other chatters mentioned of ASSOC being loud and irritating, then might as well do it for Ateneo.

Its funny how people always associate the Blue Babble Battalion with the ASSOC. FYI not all Babble are ASSOC. It just happens that some Blue Babble members usually come from the Assoc and thats why the Babble meetings are done there.

what can you say about the way the blue babble "discriminate" girls? like once, they did not want girl members in the group. ngayon naman, ayaw yata nilang magkaroon ng guys na sort of dance the way the girls in the pep squad. ang garapal pa ng kanilang membership training ek ek. "malaki **** ko" wow what a punch line.

Well if there's one thing about the ASSOC as well as the Babble, they know how to have a good time. Laging kuwela ang usapan (at inuman) kung may kasama kang galing sa grupo nila. Yes, they may seem chauvinistic (like when they bring out their magic "circle" that ranks the girls:lol and they may not want girls in the Babble, but these points belong to a different topic. For all The Rock's years in the Ateneo, the ASSOC and Babble were always good people.

LET US NOT FORGET... ANYTHING, and man do i mean ANYTHING, ANY IDEA that comes out of an atenean's mind DEFINITELY IS A-OK. Besides, our ideas are regarded BRILLIANT by many. IT'S TRUE! IT'S TRUE!

SO, IF ADMU likes this ASSOC/BLUE BABBLE THING to happen, so be it! ADMU SURELY KNOWS WHAT IS BEST FOR US! THAT MY FRIENDS IS TRUE!

ollogram12: thanks for the comments. I guess this is one opinion which will never be erased. But, the battalion does not discriminate girls. I hope I can to answer your points without being sexist or chauvinistic.

One, the style of cheering isn't suited for dance steps. Our cheers are raw, and do not possess any finesse. So, it would be hard to inculcate, the battalion with the HaRdCourT

Second, there are only 2 females in the Battalion because the Battalion style of cheering requires more power and strength which is more likely to be done by males. And these 2 women were exceptional in being able to perform at par and even better than other males trying out. So it has nothing to do for being women and that reason alone. its just that the requires with the Battalion style of cheering is more suited for males. I hope I'm not being sexist or chauvinistic at this.

Third, the HardCourt has recruited their own male members. They came to an agreement that it would be best for the two to be independent from each other due to two different styles of cheering. But, we are clustered (along with the Band and the fans) under one cheering squad. Coz when it comes down to it, were supporting one team.

I didn't understand your last comments, but I hope this clears up your misinterpretations with regards to the Battalion.
