Selling/Looking for Pirated DVDs/CDs/VCDs Can Get You Banned

I just want to reiterate that we have an anti-piracy policy here in PEx which we strictly enforce. The following are not allowed:

1. Selling of pirated CDs, DVDs, and VCDs.
2. Looking for pirated CDs, DVDs, and VCDs. If you are looking for a certain TV show series or an album, make sure you that specify that you are looking for an original copy. Otherwise your thread will be removed and you will be sent a warning.
3. Selling of e-books [unless you can prove that the book's copyright has expired and is free for distribution, e.g. Noli Me Tangere.]

I doubt that the dvds the seller is claiming are all "original" dvds, since some of the items he/she are selling have NOT been released in their original dvd format in the USA. That is why he/she wants you to pm/email him/her for his list because posting them all here would raise suspicion and will eventually get himself banned from PEX, especially once his prices are known in public. The style of p!rates are always fishy

I don't know if this is true. Edu Manzano, the head of Optical Media Board, allowed piracy as long as it is not harming the local movie and music industry. Meaning, people can buy and sell pirated CDs or DVDs if they are from abroad. But it was absurd.

Common sense, PEx has to implement this rule whether you like it or not, kasama na yan sa User Agreement when you signed up for this. And we also have to remember na may mga sponsors ang PEx like movie distributors so it is very logical that they implement this rule.

If you can't afford to buy any original media formats, that means it's not for you. By all means, you can't have a personal copy. Just stick to your fm radio or local tv. Hindi dahilan ang kahirapan para tangkilin ang peke. That is an obvious form of stealing. I think this is one reason kung bakit di umuunlad ang bansa natin, that is because even in some small ways, some or perhaps most of us doing an immoral thing - stealing. Law of karma guys....
