I’m from UP and I will never ever recognize UST having equal footing with the “big three”. No way!

However, UST is not at all a bad school.

eh ano ngayon kung best school for architecture if you cant get in/ could not afford/ too far for you/ wont accept you or even to learn a thing or two?

i think most people would go for UP/ UST for architecture. also Mapua and others for their own personal reasons. be affordability or easy to commute.

yung English grades ko na piankita ko sa iyo just to testify your claim about my "poor writing skills". i thought matalino ka, and yet you don't know how to interpret my POST. maybe, mas lamang ka sa fluency and articulation, but definitely, hindi kita kalevel sa mga computer skills ko. yup, i become a manager, not because i have a poor english skills, but i have a superb grade in our Engineering Management and Eng'g Economics/Accounting Subjs.. and also with my Math Grades... hayan, pinagyayabang ko na yan!

Miss, I was not implying you needed to have an “excellent” English to be associated as “matalino” but at least for someone who claimed a manager of a Manila based company, you ought to have a descent command of the English language. Okay, my English is not impeccable but at least it’s not as awful as yours. Take note, I am still a student with more time to refine my language skills.

As in your case, you should have done the “honing” a long time ago before you graduated because it hugely interdicted your previous flaunting of having to come from a prestigious school. Moreover, being engineering major is not an excuse to having poor language ability. It is an individual choice to put importance on the things you needed to learn while at school might it be English or other. A manager who writes poorly is a joke… it’s really a big joke.

My interpretation? That you are full of absurd reasons and your making you’re being an engineering major an excuse for having a poor command of the English language. What a lame excuse…?

The Philippines is a bilingual country. Filipinos are expected to speak and write fluent Filipino however able to shift to the English language with great ease and aplomb. We are in the 21st century where businesses are conducted at global height. In order for us to be competitive these days, we got to have an edge that for me is our ability to speak and write English fluently.

Again, I am not implying that my English is excellent… however it is not something as contemptible as yours.
