si dra. agdamag ang OB ko. nagki-clinic siya both sa delgado and cardinal santos. but she offered me dun nga daw sa delgado kasi mas mura compared sa cardinal. and package yun.

2 of my officemates have been her patients din. and she advised me to use my philhealth na para mabawasan din yung gastos.

or it depends kung sino OB mo *thinking*

*****, before kasi I asked my OB kung magkano nga aabutin pag normal and CS, then she told me 35 to 40 kapag normal and 55 to 60 kung CS pero ganon inabot ng bill. My OB is Dra. Tajan may clinic sya sa Delgado and St. Lukes. Magaling sya, she will treat u as a frnd and ang pinaka gusto ko sa kanya from the start of my labor til manganak ka nandyan tlaga sya sa tabi mo kaya worth it naman yung pf nya.

..........kahit sobra mahal manganak now kapag nakita mo na si baby u won't think the expenses na, all you want is to carry your baby na lang

  7. #1567
i'll ask my OB nga ulit bukas eh.. to clear lang *** mga agam-agam ko.. kasi *** ibang post with the same OB mahal ang singil sa kanila pero baka hindisila naka-package..

the quote she gave me is package e..

gusto ko na nga rin manganak eh hahaha.. but we still have few more weeks to wait..

I gave birth nung June 2 of this year. First plan ay manganak ako sa Parañaque Medical Center, ang OB package na binigay samin for normal delivery is around 33K since wala akong philhealth. Since hihingin lang namin sa FIL ko yung pampaanak ko, on my second trimester nagdecide kami na sa lying-in nalang ako manganganak, pero maayos na lying-in naman at mukhang hospital ang itsura, 12-15K naman ang charge ng OB. Pero starting on my 2nd month, nagpapacheck-up padin ako sa health center on a monthly basis kahit na nagpapacheck-up ako sa private clinic paminsan minsan dahil sayang din yung ibang privileges sa center like free anti-tetanus vaccines for the mother, free ferrous sulfate/folic acid vitamins and yung ibang vaccines para sa baby. Dahil donation lang naman(malaki na ang P20, yung iba kasi either no donation or barya), go lang! Now here comes the prob, from my 20th week up to my 34th week of pregnancy wala sa tamang position si baby! Either breech or "balagbag" daw so talagang CS ako! So on my last check-up sa center, humingi ako ng recommendation from them para manganak sa Fabella. Villena. Ang price kapag may own doctor ka at CS, 13K, without own doctor or regular patient ka, 5K. Kapag normal delivery with own doctor, 8K. Now the downside is this, kahit may own doctor ka, kung wala ka namang philhealth, dun ka padin sa regular ward na 2-3/bed.

On that same day pala nagpa 4D ultrasound ako, and guess what, si baby cephalic position na!

Kaya lang nung nagpaschedule ako for my check-up dun, one month pa before yung check-up ko(as in ganun katagal! Dapat book in advance. hehe), so kahit medyo feeling ko hindi na ako aabot sa check-up na yun dahil almost 36weeks na ako, still nagpalista padin ako. Pero less than a week before ako manganak and 1 week before my scheduled check-up pumunta akong ER ng OM dahil nagkaron ako ng belspalsy at 38weeks of gestation(but that's another story).

Ang gastos namin almost P1,500 composed ng donation na zonrox at powdered soap, mga pinabili before ako i-admit like sanitex, diaper, etc., mga pinabili for the baby na wala kami like yung baby bath at postnatal meds(hindi pa generic yan). Medyo ok naman yung sa room, as expected madaming tao, buti nalang nung madaling araw pa before we left the hospital at noon time nagkaron ng kashare sa bed. Dami kasi tinatanggihan on the night na sinugod ako, as in madami! Meron nga dun 8am pa daw pumutok yung BOW niya, eh mga around 11pm na yun!

If you'll ask me kung willing ba ako manganak dun, oo naman! We have to start from scratch kasi matagal ng walang baby on both sides pwedeng hingan ng mga gamit ng baby.

Sorry pala for the super long post guys. Newbie lang ako dito, share ko lang din kasi yung experiences ko at the same time since parang wala pa akong nababasa na nanganak sa government hospital, first and last page pa lang nababasa ko.

mandyislove... question lang, how is Ospital ng Maynila about breastfeeding? and PGH kasi and Fabella, alam ko kahit pano strict-strict sa breastfeeding (kasi nga per donation lang pumupunta dun, alangang pabilhin pa nila ng gatas diba)

oh and am sure very helpful ang post mo to those na curious nga din how it is to give birth sa govt hospital

  10. #1570
^sis nung before ako lumabas pinapunta ako breastfeeding room, kaso sa sobrang tagal wala padin yung kakausap sakin kaya hindi ko tuloy nalaman kung ano ba ang purpose na pinapunta ako dun, kung may lecture ba on breastfeeding or titignan ako kung paano ako magpaBF. Minadali na kasi kami umalis ng hospital dahil sobrang kulang talaga sa bed at that time. Hindi ko nga din alam kung how many times in a week pinapalitan yung linen Yung friend ko, walang milk production from the time na pinanganak until now na kasing age nadin ng baby niya yung baby ko. In my opinion, hindi strict ang Ospital ng Maynila about breastfeeding.

Hello There.. I would just like to share what me and my wife did. nung pinanganak namin ang 2nd daughter namin last 2004... Sa aming panganay, we spent almost 40,000Php for a Cesarean Delivery.. Napaka mahal talaga pag ganun... This is What we did:

When the time of delivery comes... Pero this will involve a lot of Humility from both Husband & Wife.. Yung 2nd daughter ko to this date is very healthy and she is now 6 yrs old at matalino... My Peace to all...

hi guys! share ko lang sa inyo..i gave birth na three weeks ago..sobrang helpful ng forum na ito..kasi i was supposed to give birth at FEU fairview hospital kaya lang upon reading bad comments on the net i decided to transfer..this forum helped me decide.. anyway i transferred on my 7th month of pregnancy to a new ob in lourdes hospital, sta. mesa.. her name is dra. karen torredes, she's really nice and knowledgeable..she even answers queries thru text messaging when i am unable to come for check up.. she has sub-specialty pa in high risk pregnancy, she's really good.. kase ruptured bag ako for 11 hours pero she was still able to manage NSD and my baby is pretty big at 7.5 lbs, *** ibang kasabay ko nanganak same senario pero 6 hours pa lang their ob opted for CS, which was expensive and unnecessary.. anyway my total bill for NSD is 46thou, 3 days stay on a private room with tv and ref.. okay pa sa lourdes kasi they encourage room-in for the baby and breastfeeding..*** mga nurses nla sa nursery were giving lessons to all mommies on how to properly breastfeed, latching, holding the baby, etc..
i was prepared to really spend for our first baby, we inquired in several hospitals including st. luke's, capitol and delgado, kaya lang *** mga taong na encounter namin while inquiring napaka snobbish & unfriendly, nakaka-depress.. syempre i want to get the best experience out of my first pregnancy para nde naman ako ma-trauma..hope you guys make the right decision too..goodluck!

    hi!

i just had a check up last sat and i asked my OB how much really is in Delgado in Kamuning.

the quote she gave me is around 32-33k (for nsd), yung cs could be 40k above.. walang epidural but parang painless daw. mas mahal daw kasi kung epidural. i forgot to ask kung ano mga kasama sa package na yun but i will update you (anyone who plans to give birth in Delgado). but then the price depends on your OB pa rin siguro.

  15. #1575
^ sige naman sis, pa-update po. salamat. i am considering delgado too.

  16. #1576
any idea how much cs sa payward ng pgh?

  17. #1577
sis, how much exactly nagastos nyo sa OMMC (ospital ng maynila med.center) kasi low ang budget and sa kanila ako nagpapa check-up. Ano po ba first thing na gagawin ko, sabihin or ipakita ko na agad yung Philhealth Id ko? thank you

  18. #1578
Hi.. ask ko lang po kung sino nakakaalam ng rate ng private room sa new bldg ng CGH? and if my tv and ref yun.. thanks!

HI! Sino po OB mo sa delgado? Im on my 2nd pregnancy now, same OB. Just had my checkup kahapon. hiya ako mgpaquote masyado pa ata maaga for 24w 2d...
