    I tried boxing 2yrs ago but for only a couple of sessions and now I'm trying it again, been Boxing for 3wks now at Maic's, since iyon ang pinaka-malapit that I know of... nakaka-addict parin.

    Anyway, I saw someone giving a tip sa isang instructor at sabi niya every session daw siya nagbibigay. Ok lang ba to give tip from time to time and not every session?

    Good pm sir blake.. gusto ko din mag try ng boxing, my main goal is to loose weight. 5'7 po ang height ko and 160lbs po ako. if mag train ako ng boxing, ganu po katagal ma achieve yung goal ko na 135 - 140lbs?

    Sirs rapidpunch, blakedaddy, ManilaIce - maraming salamat sa pag-refer nyo ng ABAP and also for recommending the coaches.

    Training Equipments
    Boxing Ring - maayos pa hindi tulad ng sa iba na bulok-bulok at hindi maganda pagkakagawa
    Punching Bags - magagandang klase ang mga bags nila at maaayos pa. May 5 yatang bags dun, kung tama ang pagkakaalala ko. again, hindi tulad sa iba na bulok bulok na.
    Ropes (not jumping ropes) - ginagamit nila to for footwork and punching exercises

    Comfort/Shower Room
    - hindi mabaho
    - malinis
    - malakas tubig
    - maraming cubicles for shower and yung cubicles na may bowls. sufficient to kahit marami pang nagti-training
    - aside from cubicles na may bowls, may mga urinals pa rin
    - may 2 sinks
    - may salamin
    - spacious (pwede kayo maghabulan sa loob, hehehe)

    Coaches
    - I was able to meet coach Mitch and coach Joan Tipon (2006 Doha Asian Games Gold Medalist - Bantamweight)
    - as a first timer, masasabi ko na approachable, mababait at masisipag ang coaches
    - alam ng coaches ang tamang pag train sa boxers lalo na sa beginners
    - alam nila ang proper training ng basics. hindi tulad sa iba na bara-bara lang, na basta makasuntok lang o makagalaw lang

    Training (for beginners like myself)
    - streching - dito palang pawis na pawis na ko. iba din ang style sa iba
    - footwork execises - very important. maganda ang pagtuturo nila nito
    - punching exercises - ok na ok din ang pagturo nila. icorrect ka ng icocorrect hanggang makuha mo ng tama
    - punching mitts - maganda mga calls. matututo ka lalo kasi magagamit mo ng maayos yung tinurong footwork and punch throwing
    - punching bags - iga-guide ka ng maayos kung pano tamang galawan ang bag. hindi tulad sa iba na bahala ka na sa buhay mo kung pano after nila ipakita ng isang beses.
    - Abs execises - ok to. talaga namang mababanat abs mo - upper, lower, sides

    Nice to have (though i think not necessary dahil naco-compensate na to ng pagtuturo ng mga coaches - at pagod na pagod ka na para gawin pa to, hehehe)
    - double end bags
    - speedballs
    - jump ropes (siguro wala sila nito kasi may oval naman where the athletes can do their cardio)

    ***
    - i was able to meet sir rapidpunch and sir blakedaddy and yung ibang mga sir (pasensya na nakalimutan ko names). mga beterano na dating ng mga to. parang buong hapon sila nag-i-sparring dun at nagrarambulan, hehehe.

    FYI, me jump ropes dun and yung iba equipments like double end ball eh inalis na since di naman ginagamit dahil hindi part ng training ng mga athletes.

    Saka pwede ka din pala humingi ng water dun since me dispenser sila sa baba.

    nice, thanks for the quick response sir. sa Gerry Penalosa pala kami, yung trainer ko nagte-train din ng muay thai, i plan to progress to muay thai from boxing e tatapusin ko lang yung nabili kong deal. i bought the boxing deal for weight loss pero interesado din akong seryosohin ang muay thai sana. meron po ba kayong masa-suggest na magandang muay thai gym na malapit sa libis, santolan, marikina and cubao area. salamat po ng marami.
