we just spent the long weekend in ilocos. super ganda. we traveled manila-vigan first (using partas bus, vigan deluxe trip, 750@) and stayed at vigan plaza hotel (1800 per night). toured the place the following day. when in vigan check out calle crisologo, burgos/crisologo/juan luna museums and st. paul's cathedral (makes 3 wishes if it's your first time going to the church ). also try their giant empanada (but the empanada in laoag is better).

afterwards, it was vigan-laoag, a 1.5 hour bus trip (40@). we stayed in laoag (isabel suites) and had yet another 1.5 hour bus trip going to pagudpud (still at 40@). we had a day stay in pagudpud (saud beach resort) as we didn't know where to stay there. saud beach resort has rooms you can check in, double occupancy is at 3800+ (per night). we just had lunch there and spent the whole afternoon. if you're going to stay there for the whole day only, damage is 50@ (entrance fee) and 300 bucks (for the shower fee, this is fixed, kahit ilan kayo you need to pay the same rate).

pagudpud is sooo beautiful. the waters clean, didn't see any garbage, unlike in bora where you see a plastic of lechon manok (no kidding, i saw one this year) littering in the water. the people in saud beach resort are so nice too, look for junie and he will definitely assist you. if you're going to go there alone, bring a journal or a good book or a boombox, kasi masarap magmuni muni and the beer there is cheap, san mig costs only 30 bucks per bottle.

hi, tanong ko lg which is better - to stay in saud for the night or in mairaira mismo? is mairaira too far from saud? nalilito kasi ako sa post about panzzian, saud, and mairaira? may rental din ba ng tent sa mairaira? ang dami kong tanong.

walang resorts sa maira-ira nung nagpunta ako...... as in nada, zilch...... pinaalis ata nung may ari nung beach na un...... pro may mga poste na dun e, mukhang tatayuan na un ng resort ng may-ari......... though pede ka mag-camping kaso parang nakakatakot dun......tsaka sabi rin ng kakilala ko nakakatakot daw dun sa gabi....... kaya sa saud na lang kayo mag-stay....
