The horror stories never end....even when you just inquire over the phone!

Here's my experience just today:

SET UP:

I bought 2 pairs of shades at Casaje Optical in Greenhills a month ago, the brand was "Cybershades" they're pretty cool though and very cheap at P 400 / pair. Well 5 days ago, my favorite pair got broken so the next day I went back to Casaje but unfortunately, they dont have that model anymore. I asked the salesman if they carry the line in their branches, he answered "Hindi ko alam puntahan nyo na lang." But that's not the horror story yet:

THE CALL:

I decided to just call the branches of Casaje to check if they do carry those shades. I researched in ClickThe City for Casaje's branches and turns out they have one in Megamall and one in Ali Mall. So I called up Megamall first:

ME: "Hello, eto po ba yung Casaje na may branch sa Greenhills?"
SALESLADY: "Ha? Sandali...." makes me wait as she asks her colleague.
- I can hear her in the background conversing with her colleague...
SALESLADY: "Sa kapatid nya po"
ME: "Meron ba kayong binebenta na Cybershades?"
SALESLADY: "Ano? Hybernate?"
ME: "Cybershades." (Hindi pa ako galit nito ha?)
SALESLADY: "Siguro noon..."
ME: "So dati meron?"
SALESLADY: "Siguro..."
Then she puts the phone down.

I then called up the AliMall branch:

ME: "Hello, eto po ba yung Casaje na may branch sa Greenhills?"
SALESLADY: "Bakit mo tinatanong?" She sounded older than the Megamall saleslady.
ME: "Kasi po itatanong ko lang kung may binebenta kayo na shades na "Cybershades" ang tatak."
SALESLADY: "Eh di pumunta ka na lang doon sa Greenhills at tingnan mo kung meron."
ME: "Wala po silang stock no'n kaya nga ako tumawag sa inyo e."
SALESLADY: "Ah wala kami no'n."
ME: "Wala pala e di sana sinabi nyo wala kanina.."

Hindi pa ako galit nyan.

It's a total breakdown of communication. Working in a call center for several years now and in sales for the most part, I've been trained to provide as complete information as possible, to be couteous to the caller at all times, to listen to the customer's needs and to be on the lookout for buying signals. Was I too demanding to expect the same here?

Ako naman tinatawaran ko yung skirt dun sa Mall 168. Taiwanese/****** na mga babae ang mga nagbebenta. Php 350 yung skirt, tinawaran ko, binibigay sakin ng Php 340. Sabi ko, "Php 180 na lang!" i had my experience sa odyssey naghahanap ako ng cd ng Thursday, tapos ba naman may sales lady sa likod ko asar,i just ignore her, nakita ko din yon cd pero wala na yon palstic so i asked her kung may iba pang stock sabi niya last na yon! pano niya malalaman na last na yon eh hindi naman niya chineck kung meron pa! saka masyado naman siyang BIBO kung kabisado niya lahat ng cd/tapes/dvd na binebenta nila!. sa sobrang asar ko binili ko na lang yon cd, i handed her the cd and money.then after that i went off! from that day on i swear hindi na ako bbli ng cd sa odyssey! download na lang sa net

yong friend ko din may na-experience sa guard naman ng isang shoe store, naka school uniform siya that time. tinitignan niya kase yon shoes na gusto niya balak niya din kase bilin. yon guard sinita siya sabi "hoy wag mo hawakan yan mahal yan" sa sobrang asar nong friend ko sinabi niya "magkano ba sweldo mo? baka gusto mo triplehin ko yan" hindi kase alam nong guard na mayaman yon kaibigan ko na yon, tapos yon binili niya yon shoes pinamukha niya don sa guard na mali yon inaakala niya.

sa states naman hindi yan uso,bahala ka sa buhay mo, pero you can ask them naman kung hindi mo mahanap yon item,ituturo pa nila sayo kung saan nakalagay minsan sila pa ang kukuha for you at take note naka smile pa yon sayo!

sadly, mas stariray nga mga salesladies kesa sa mga mismong may-ari...

sa crossings dept store sa quezon ave, medyo limited at pricey kumpara sa iba pero ang gusto ko lang dun, wala talagang saleslady na nakabantay, ako pa yung nag-worry kasi parang ang dali mag-shoplift hehe...oks tuloy magtingin, di nakaka-pressure...

kainis kasi pag papasok ka pa lang eh sasabihan ka na ng "yes mam?" sabay dikit sayo...kakawalang gana tuloy magtingin, lumalabas na lang ako agad...

sa HBC sa sto domingo, super friendly yung isang saleslady...di naman sya bastos, super helpful nga lang...gusto ko sana ng konting privacy para matingnan lahat ng items...

sa isang toy store sa SM sa may harrison plaza, one time nagpunta ako nang maaga, para free akong magtingin kasi konti pa lang ang tao, na-"yes mam?" na naman ako, tapos dinumog ako ng walo atang salesmen, as in! (kasi ako lang yung customer), kakapraning, umalis kaagad ako, di na ako nagtingin... haha para akong celebrity na dinumog ng mga fans

sa tutuban naman, pagdaan ko sa isang record shop, inabutan ako ng free na magazine...pagdating ko sa toy store (na naman!), nagtitingin na ako, chinika ba naman ako ng salesman, sabay hiniram pa yung magazine na hawak ko at binasa...feeling close!

"Ay ma'am ang sexy niyo naman! Anong pangalan niyo?!"

I have this horror story in Mossimo shop in Megamall. Although hindi naman rude yung saleslady, taklesa lang sobra.

They had a promo where in if you buy 2 items, the cheaper of the 2 is going to be free. I found a pair of jeans that I liked but the problem was I cant find anything for the second item. The shirts that I liked didnt come in the right size or the other items I just didnt like at all. The saleslady, fearing she would lose my sale tried to upsell me some female items (I was by myself then) just to have that second item and she said:

SALESLADY: "Sir dito ho sa mga ladies wear baka gusto nyong ibili..."

I thought she was gonna say wife coz I was ready to drop her if she implies that I look married...

SALESLADY: "...baka gusto niyong ibili yung anak nyo."

So she basically assumed that I was already married and worse, assumed I already have a daughter old enough to wear Mossimo ladies wear!

Natawa na lang ako but still proceeded with my purchase.

OMG ... this was when i was 17 .... nagbakasyon ako sa pinas Christmas Season ... so I asked my friend to come with me and help me look for a present for my relatives ... so he took me to 5 different shopping centre in manila looking for the best present ever ... pero sa Metropolis kami nakakita ng the best present for my grandparents ... A sony home theater system ... pero when i went to speak to the sales lady she gave me the toe to head look ... but at that time i didn't say anything as i have encountered lots of peeps na katulad niya ... pero gumanti ako .. me and my friend started askin her about warranties, the efficiency, energy consumptions ... so naglibotlibot kami sa shop ... asking her things para mainis lang siya ... and then 2 n hlf hours later ... Yes we spent 2 n hlf hours just trying and testing all the things there i recieved a phone call from my mum asking me kung may napili na kami .. so we spent another good 45 mins annoying the sales lady while waiting for my mother ... we we're just wearing pambahay clothes ad tsinleas that day as we have a car with us anyway ... and just 5 mins before dumating mama ko ... napuno si sales lady "ANO BA BIBILI BA KAYO? NAPAKAMAHAL NG MGA TO NO!" while giving us the evil look ... then dumating si mama ... naghati kami sa bayad ... the chick n the counter was so nice ... she had a big smile on her face and was so polite ... nung nagbayd na kami ... my mum had a spare 400 pesos sa wallet niya ... and binigay niya sa lady in the counter ... while the sales lady was standing next to us ... sabi pa ni mama "have had lunch iha? .. ito pang jolibee mo" ... my god ya'll should see the look sa evil na sales lady ... it was a crack up aye .. lucky di siya ni reklamo na mama ka .... reklamadora pa namn yun!

aba, i went back there for like four times within two months, hanggang ngayon wala pa rin daw feedback sa factory. grabe, ayaw palitan ng kahit anong wallet yung pinareplace ko. kaasar. the girl just can't say anything except sorry. napakamot lang ako. di ako reklamador eh.
