USA should think of a better way to stop that big dude from greece.. binaboy nya lang si bosh nung third quarter

malamang tatambakan ng US kalaban nila kahit argentina o spain pa yan.

ang sakit ng talo nila sa greece.

"Carmelo Anthony scored 27 points for the Americans, who couldn't overcome their 32 percent shooting from 3-point range or 59 percent from the foul line. Dwyane Wade added 19 and LeBron James had 17, but the three U.S. captains were unable to avenge their disappointment from Athens." =(

Nice game for the Greeks, akala ko matatalo pa sila nung last 2 mins. Buti na lang nagpapasok yung freethrows nila sa huli. US gave it all till the end, but not enough to match the heart of the euro champs.

what was shocking is that the greek team has no NBA-experienced player. talk about discipline in this squad. they may surprise the basketball world by winning this whole thing.

That pick and roll play of the Greeks killed the Americans. They were getting layups, dunks, jumpers and threes from everywhere.

First quarter for Greece = 14 pts
    2nd, 3rd, 4th = 87 pts

    What an adjustment.

He played 28 games for the Grizzlies in 2001-2002. Batchmate nya sina Pau Gasol at Shane Battier

ang medyo nakakapagtaka lang kanina, di masyado nagddrive si Lebron over his defenders. Ang pinakamali ng US is that di nila pinaglaro ng matagal si Dwight Howard. Dwight Howard is clearly the difference maker against Greece.

In this game, I think Greece was able to solve the pressure defense of the US. Take note that because of this defense, the US jumped into an early lead. It was then that the Greeks made some fine adjsutments. They saw that their main advantage here would be their height. So what they did based on my observation was spread the floor. Since the Greeks have good dribblling and passing skills, they were able to take the ball where they want to. Plus they also have a good shoooting touch so they just shot over the smaller Americans. This made the game slower and veery difficult for the Americans to cover since they were smaller and the driving and inside dish spaces became looser.

I still think though that it was commendable of the US to finally try to win by team play it was just that the Greeks was able to solve their pressure defense. They came to Japan to win not by talent alone but by working together but it wasn't meant to be.

ummm... don't forget about Melo... he showed up at the game... it's just one person showing up... isn't enough to win the gold... silver... or possibly the bronze.... and when lebron tried "driving".... he ended up charging...

Meh, I'll get excited if the real USA team gets beat. Until such time that any country can beat a US team consisting of Shaq, Kobe, KG, Tmac etc., then I'll consider that a earth shattering feat. (It's still a big feat by Greece, don't get me wrong)

When is the US going to stop treating the rest of the world as their young guns' training camp?

Im not sure whats on the mind of Gilbert Arenas (sayang sya), Kobe Bryant, and Michael Redd.. clearly there are no shooters in the US team. Joe Johnson, di masyadong nagamit yun shooting nya.

    Oh well sayang...
