    Desperate Housewives [spoilers alert!]

So, how many of you saw the series premiere last night on ABC? Pretty hilarious. I couldn't stop laughing from start to finish. Although, I just hope this doesn't end into a Melrose Place-ish *****fest.

My favorite line of the night:
Husband: I cannot believe you tried to kill me.
Wife: Oh yes, but I did not mean to.

Good news! The "Desperate Houswives" premiere episode is the most watched premiere episode of a new show this season. Just look at how it stacked up against the premiere episodes of the other new shows based on Nielsen ratings:

    (1) Desperate Housewives (ABC) -- 13.4/20
    (2) CSI: NY (CBS) -- 12.1/20
    (3) Joey (NBC) -- 11.7/20
    (4) Lost (ABC) -- 11.6/19

This show is a riot! I absolutely love that nosy neighbor Mrs. Huber. And Marcia Cross? LOL I was laughing out loud when she got her sewing kit at the middle of a marriage counselling session.

    Here are the future episodes:

    OCTOBER 17
"Pretty Little Picture" - The women decide to go ahead with the big dinner party the late Mary Alice had planned to host, despite the more-than-minor disturbances in their own lives, as adulterous Gabrielle finds herself with a nine-year-old blackmailer (guest star Ashley Bukowki), Bree struggles to keep her crumbling marriage a secret and Susan bares all - in more ways than one - as she confronts her ex (guest star Richard Burgi).

    OCTOBER 24
Who's That Woman? - Cash-strapped Mrs. Huber figures out that Susan had something to do with Edie's house fire and tries to blackmail her; Carlos becomes suspicious that Gabrielle is seeing another man, but targets the wrong suspect; Lynette balks when the twins' teacher insists the boys have ADD, and Bree struggles with her rebellious son after Rex moves out.

    OCTOBER 31
Come In, Stranger - A break-in on Wisteria Lane leaves the neighbors feeling vulnerable, especially Susan -- who reluctantly accepts a date with a persistent policeman (guest star Steven Eckholdt) after Mike Delfino appears indifferent to her -- and a lonely Bree, who finds herself bonding with Mary Alice-s troubled son, Zach. Meanwhile, Lynette and Tom pull out all the stops to get their uncontrollable twins accepted at a pretigious private school, and the unexpected arrival of Carlos' mother (guest star Lupe Ontiveros) puts a crimp in Gabrielle's covert love life.

I wasn't planning to watch this show. Honestly! I thought it would be a woman's show like the Gilmore Girls or something. But I had nothing else to watch after American Dreams so I watched it. I was impressed! I certainly wasn't expecting someone to commit suicide in the first few minutes... so I think that drew me in even more.

The show also has three stars that I like. First of all Terri Hatcher from Lois & Clark. I don't care what anyone else thinks but she is still a hottie in my book.

Second is that one guy that Terri likes. Anyways, I'll call him Mr. Lyle-- his character from one of my favorite series, The Pretender.

Then there is that suffering husband but he plays CIA agent Webb on another good show JAG. Now that JAG has gotten rid of him, it's nice to see that he got another job. He also played a MACO on Enterprise and Captain Picard's new first officer in ST:Nemisis.

I'm with you on that, Spartan. When my mom found out I was hurrying to finish dinner to watch Desperate Housewives last night, she said, "Hindi ba masyadong sexy 'yan?" (And I'm already 21, by the way. ) Couldn't blame her - I thought the exact same thing when they showed the commercials for it. I assumed it was just another one of those shows that use sex to draw audiences in, which was why I didn't even bother to watch the premiere. I decided to watch the encore just to see what all the fuss was about, and I was happy to find I was wrong about this show. I think it's innovative how the narrator is supposed to be dead already, and how the characters were introduced during the pilot (Susan and her macaroni and cheese were priceless).

Oo nga... I lyk the style wherein the narrator is their dead friend, Mary Alice... Ryt now, the secrets are already manifesting... Mike Delfino is somehow an assassin... Dba *** John s "Passions" soap opera ***??

How can you have the last 4 episodes when it just began airing in the US/Canada about two weeks ago? They have only showed the first 2 episodes so how can you have the "last 4"?

I smell something illegal going on.

Any ideas what is going on?

Zach did something bad to cause his mother to commit suicide? Breaking into a house to put up decorations? Punching out his dad? What the hell is up with this kid?

Mama Solis with her her knitting tools was great. Sounds like she is about to do a little carving!
