if your coming from Vigan, go to Laoag kasi yung Asian Spirit nagstostop over sa Laoag before headin to Basco.

Vigan - Laoag is abt 3 hours na lang right?

Batanes is a special place. If you're going there, be sure to have a flexible time to enjoy the view, the people, and Ivatan culture and their old houses. I've been there many times pero ang lakas pa rin ng lure nya sa akin...haaay, kelan kaya ako babalik?

Pexers, check out some photos of Batanes in our club website:

    I agree with charlatan...

when we were walking towards Dura, nagulat yung mga kasama ko why I stopped walking and lay down on the side walk facing Dura for a couple of minutes... the view is simply fabulos!

buti ka pa, you had the oppotunity to go to Batanes more than once.

Dami kze ako friends dun. And even if you dont know anybody, the people are sooooo accomodating and kind. My memories of Batanes would sometimes bring out the senti in me. I also organize trips there whenever i can. Kung pwede lang pumunta every year i would. Batanes is not for everybody though. If you like noise, nightlife, parties, restos, don't go. But if you want peace and inspiration, this is the place for you.

one thing with Batanes is one will feel safe...

first night namin dun, palakad lakad lang ako alone dun sa mga side street from the port leadin to the airport with out feelin unsafe.

actually may disco naman sa Batanes, I dont remember the name pero I remember nasa basement yung disco.

No such thing as a boat from Aparri to Batanes. Ang pinalamalayo na abot ng mga boats departing Aparri is Calayan Island, and that's already an 8-12 hr. trip.

In 2003, there used to be a small ship, the Ivatan Princess, that regularly departed from Currimao, Ilocos Norte for Basco weekly. Not very sure if it's still operating.

hi, i'm really interested in going to Batanes... i hope i could go there sooner rather lang later.. but anyway, gusto ko lang iclarify kasi na parang ang lumalabas on this discussion is ang price ng mnl-basco-mnl via asian spirit would be more or less the same as kung magbabus papuntang TUG then take TUG-Basco flight? so, if i am coming from manila, i would just take the straight flight to Batanes. right? meron bang plane from ilocos?

Halos pareho na yung fare, mga difference lang siguro ng about 500 or less.

Before may plane from Laoag to Basco via Chemtrad pero parang wala na ata ngayon, ang Asian Spirit nagstostop over yan sa laoag before headin to Basco.
