Spend about 15-17k, was there March 2002

Stayed in Batanes for about 9 days, pero yung sa expenses ko kasama yung 2 days sa Peñablanca na nag kayak etc...

Dream ko talaga sobra makapunta sa Batanes.

I loved that trip kasi laid back yung pace namin and we were able to explore the 3 main islands of Batanes. Batan, Sabtang and Itbayat.

maraming makikita sa Batanes pero yung pinakamemorable sa akin is yung view going to Mahatao from Basco habang nasa ibabaw ng jeep

Yup the 17K covers everything.

actually kaya sya less medyo lumaki kasi we stayed pa at Tuguegarrao and Peñablanca.

Stayed at Shanedels 150/pax, fan room. parang homestay sya.
may resto and parang bar overlooking the ocean. Mahal nga lang pagkain dun, we eat at Ralphs, a carinderia across Shanedels.

parang pare-pareho naman ata rate sa Batan Is., yung high end lang talaga is the Batanes resort around 1k/nite that time, for me ayaw ko yung location ng Batanes resort, malayo kasi sya sa mismong town.

sa Sabtang homestay lang ata ang meron.

sa Itbayat, we stayed in Mayan barrio, naghomestay and tumira kami sa bagong wing ng ospital, parang donation ata yung hiningi sa amin... alam ko may isang lugar dun na 100/pax ata ang singgil. malapit sya sa ospital

Sobrang adventure yung boat ride from Itbayat to Basco. Walang pampang sa Itbayat, cliff kc sya palibot so yung Chinapoliran port is patirik, and malakas yung alon so challenge how to get in to the boat.

before we took a bus to Tuguegarrao then an 8 seater plane from Tug... to Basco. 3,200 na daw one way TUG-Basco dati 2,500 lang ata.

Ok. 17K is way beyond my budget. Then again you stayed there 9 days. Would 4 days 3 nights be enough to go around Batanes? Is food in Batanes really expensive or its just the food at your hotel that was expensive?

with 4D/3N I think you can explore Batan and sabtang Is. na yung Itbayat kasi di naman talaga sya pinupuntahan ng mga turista, mahaba lang talaga yung time namin kaya napadpad kami dun.

medyo mahal ang food sa Batanes kasi nga they have to get most of it from the mainland. ulam ata sa Ralphs is around 50pesos/serving pero masarap... yung yakult 12pesos isa!actually walang hotel sa Batanes, basic accommodation lang talaga yung tinirahan namin. Ngayon ko lang narealize marami rin pala kaming meal na free kasi yung kasama namin may mga relatives sa Batanes so minsan libre lunch namin

I don't really eat kilawin kasi takot akong masiraan ng tiyan, pero napakain ako sa Batanes ng kilawin tangigue, sarap! nahuli yung fish sa mismong boat ng sinasakyan namin from Itbayat back to Basco so guranteed talaga na fresh.

maybe 10K could cover the trip, airfaire is 6k, 4k to move round.

I heard Smart lang ata... when I was there walang cel signal talaga, landline lang. I called home thru PT&T pero may Smart na landline na ata that time.

ilang hours *** byahe from mnl-tug? sobrang mahal ng airfare noh! *** direct ata from mnl-basco via asian spirit is 4,000 (one way).
