We want to have our honeymoon here. Been researching, and found out that we need around 3000 USD for a 3-night all-inclusive stay and airfare. I read that Maldives is really trying to keep it high-end.
Read some of the comments here re diving, buti nalang we're not divers hehe. We just want to enjoy the beach and privacy.
sana matuloy kami dito sa October...meron na kami tickets hanggang Sri Lanka...so from there bili na lang kami ng tikets para mas mura...hehehe..thanks Air Asia!!
Hi fellow pexers, save your time and money and just book yourself at a nice resort in the Philippines. After a long flight to singapore & then to male, I was disappointed to discover that our resort looked exactly like Dos Palmas in Palawan(loading dock & layout of the buildings) and that our room looked exactly like Amorita in Bohol (with private plunge pool in front.) We went snorkelling two times in the succeeding days, & the reefs we went to had about one half lang of the marine life that you would see in Balicasag. Food was super expensive, & limited. One night we had no choice but to partake of an Indian buffet.
In summary, Europeans go to the Maldives because it is only a 6-hour flight away, but for us Filipinos, for the money, we might as well go to Amanpulo or El Nido or any nice place in Bohol.
Hi kobe20. We stayed 5 days at the Four Seasons Kuda Huraa. grabe expensive. If you really must go, I suggest you check out tripadvisor.com for hotel suggestions.
ahhh..were planning to stay at Embudu Village...i believe that is the cheapest place to stay there..hehehe..
I would like to recommend some beautiful resorts kaso sobrang expensive sha...
Meron 50usd per night, Paradise Resort Island - google it
i just checked it...hmm, parang ang nakita ko lowest is at 200usd and highest naman is @2k++
I do agree with you rhumbadancer. Though Ive never been to Maldives but generally speaking, our beaches are far more beautiful than most of the Caribbean islands ive been to. You raised a wonderful point that maybe before we consider going somewhere else, it wouldn't hurt to check the many fantastic resorts that we have.
Without pun intended, Im sure there are a lot more exciting resorts out there like maybe Maldives and Thailand. Brazil's Ipanema and Copacabana may not have a healthy and that crystal blue waters of the Caribbean but certainly is the best place to be on New Year's Eve, same with Bali ...
I guess, medyo proud lang ako sa mga beaches and/or resorts naten....that's all![]()
i received a 4d/3n ClubMed pkg deal offer @32k ThB from HSBC.. includes airfare and hotel accom.
ok na ba 'to?
Hi kobe20! we stayed 4 nights in Embudu and i dont recommend this hotel. Medyo madumi ang rooms nila and wala masyado amenities and activities ang hotel.
They also have tour packages like island hopping, male city tour etc and it will cost u approx 30-50US$ per tour.
Btw, I hope sa Sri Lanka you got the all inclusive package na rin i mean including na un entrance fee sa mga places of interest dahil locals can go to these places for free pero ang foreign mahal ang bayad.
Enjoy ur Sri Lanka and Maldives trip!
hi ihcmare22 !
if you don't mind me asking, approx. how much did you spend for the maldives holiday? i just want some ideas, for cost comparison, as i'm looking at travel tour-vs-bank pkg. deal offer-vs-DIY, thanks in advance!
hmmm, how much nga kaya do I need for this trip.. A side trip to Sri Lanka would be great since I haven't been there too ( not too mention airfare would be cheaper that route than direct flight from Manila)
Is 40k all-in alright for a 5 (or more?) day stay? I don't need to stay in a luxurious room , a clean room would do.
I want to visit this place sana next year na. Either Korea or Maldives. Or both. Haha. Dream on![]()
anotehr pexer told me that 40k all-in would be ok if thru budget airlines (i.e. airasia malaysia-srilanka-maldives). maybe airfare ata is 20k or even less. the rest is for the stay in maldives.
other inputs pleasejoiners na rin

there are budget resorts in the maldives. i think 40k all-in would be enough for a budget 2-night stay.
expect to spend at least 25k for the airfare (unless air asia pushes thru with their plan to fly to male).
about the accommodations, try club med. it is one of the cheaper resorts in maldives and ok naman ang reviews. but budget here is not equivalent to budget hong kong or budget bangkok. expect food to be expensive in the whole maldives because almost everything here is imported from dubai.
