Breakfast at Antonio's is my fave restaurant in Tagaytay.
(Not to mention I love their bathroom)

There's a nice, quaint Italian restaurant called Massimo's located near Petron and the road going to Amadeo. It's quite pricey though but the ambience is really great. Only tried the gelatto though...but I heard good reviews abt the place.
bag of beans! the best! they serve freshly brewed coffee...ang masaya pa dito...REFILLABLE sha! for only 60bucks. the pies are really amazing. pancakes are really fluffy and yummy.
they already have a branch in greenhills. YIHAAAA!
Last time I ate at Josephines, around February 2005, Service was bad, and food was disappointing, I just hope this is not true to all days of Josephine's, the only thing I enjoyed eating was the Sorbetes and the View, aside from that there was nothing rreally to rave about.
you should've tried the resto beside josephine's. masarap dun.Originally Posted by KingTriton

has anybody tried firelake(not so sure of the name)? it's touted to be fancier than the original antonio's and better food(i dunno how that can happen). anybody been to firelake? reviews?
restos in tagaytay highlands. ok food. exclusive for members and their guests only. just the way i like it.
Has anybody been to TAALEÑA restaurant? Can you tell me its location and how to get there. Thanks a lot.
For those interested in Greek / Mediterranean Cuisine, try out the Manos Greek Tavern in Tagaytay. Their recommended dishes include:
Greek Salad – good for 3 people
Casserole (forgot the Greek name of this one) – somewhat like lasagna
Greek Beef Stew or “Estofado”, as it is called by the restaurant – cooked with olive oil, onions and some olives. however, this dish is not part of the regular menu and is served only on certain days
Baklava
One good quality about this restaurant is that the owner, a native Greek national married to a Filipina, is a hands-on manager who runs his restaurant very meticulously. He is in the restaurant almost every day and he takes the initiative to explain the dishes in the menu and he makes sure that his waiters provide immediate service. Prices are reasonable and one can spend anywhere from P200 to P300 per head on a sit-down dinner meal. The food goes well with a glass of red wine.
DIRECTIONS:
From the Tagaytay rotunda (7-11), take the road going to Tagaytay Highlands. Manos is nearby to the left side (past the Collettes stall) almost across the Franciscan mission house.
I plan to take my officemates including my boss out on a weekday dinner in Tagaytay this week...can you guys please post restos and their specialties and how much it would cost... there will be 5 of us girls going to dinner there..I just want to know how much it would cost so I know how much to bring... Also please suggest restos with great meals and reasonable price...also please let me know what restos I can use my creditcards on just incase I go over budget... Thanks very much in advance...
^^^because your boss is invited, ill narrow it down to three: breakfast at antonios (serves lunch and dinner), cafe on the ridge (taal vista hotel), and taaleña restaurant. with the first two choices, youd spend quite a bit. with the third one, youd get fine filipino food and a mariachi band that takes requests. (i highly recommend the inihaw or sinigang na maliputo. its a little pricey at almost 400 for 100 grams, but its to die for). all three accept major credit cards.

i dont know the exact street address, but heres how i get there. tale slex (south luzon expressway), exit santa rosa, make a right going to tagaytay, hang another right at the end. taaleña is on the left hand side. better yet, call 046.413.2519.
as for how much the food is, i dont really look at the price. the only reason why i know how much maliputo costs is because thats the one item on the menu that i order all the time and get bummed out when its not available. but my guess is, the cost of food is about the same as dencios or leslies.
Thanks for the info Redman if its the same as Leslie's and Dencio's then it seems reasonable for me...thanks for the suggestion I will go there this week hopefully we find it right away..thanks again...
no problem ilove323. give us your own take on the place, if you can.
I hope dalin ako ng kuripot kong boyfriend sa Sonya's
I love Antonio's, I went there a couple of times (malayo kasi).. The first time was with friends, and the next one was with my boyfriend. I treated him there for my birthday
My parents and I tried Breakfast at Antonio's and we hated it! Overpriced and the food wasn't satisfying. Sayang lang talaga ang pera. The ambiance is great, but not worth going to for what they charge.
i was about to comment na sinabihan mo pa bf mo kuripot, tapos ang next post mo was nag-antonio's naman kayo. hehe. kaso ikaw pala nagbayad noh?Originally Posted by beauté
