they say na ang pinakamasakit na part ng body na tinatatuan is *** sa tummy and back, or the wrist. basta *** natatamaan *** buto. based dun sa mga kakilala ko na mga nagpatattoo, sa arms daw di masakit. sa tummy kasi parang pinipigil mo *** sakit na nararamdaman and at the same time humihinga ka. kaya medyo mahirap daw. ewan ko lang. share your experiences guys for the benefit of those who wanted to get a tattoo.

i'm getting a couple more tats from my friend Gerald, he's also with PhilTAG together with Alfred and Rikki. he has his shop sa Sta. Lucia.

My tattoo experience is not that exciting. I got it done in some small shop at Austin, Texas. I think I paid $120 or something. It's on my right ankle. It didn't hurt a bit.

  4. #84
thirdeye:is that kinda expensive? $120? or is it already cheap?

  5. #85
I dunno. I prolly got ripped off or maybe I picked a trendy tattoo parlor. Anyways, the work I got done wasn't from his profile book. I had to draw it out then hand it to him and he had to draw it out again and stencil it. He had to redo the drawing several times before we agreed to it.

    ^^^ that's why it's kinda expensive.

Their minimum amount for a tattoo costs P800, 2x3 in size but it depends on the style & design of the tattoo. for me, it's cheaper than any tattoo shops i visited. Although i got my tongue pierced by Gene Testa in Rob. Ortigas.
thanks for the info! that minimum rate is okay na. i'm planning to get my next tat with Mike, so i'm doing my research

i think it was a tv program about tattoos (sa Discovery ba? didn't they have that special on skin art years ago?) where i learned that tattoos are actually addicting. they said when you get inked, the body releases adrenaline (??? am unsure about this) which gives you a rush, and it's the same rush that users get when they take drugs so that is really a physiological explanation why ppl who get tattoos can't stop at just one!

so don't take drugs, get inked instead

meron din sa National Geographic *** Documentary nila na "Taboo". may mga nagpapatattoo na sinusunog *** balat. if you're gonna watch it, kahit ikaw mapapangiwi. parang small torch sya na sinusundan *** pattern and sinusunog. talagang lapnos *** balat and butas pero there's no blood.

I'm gonna sound like a hypocrite, but I gotta say that tattoos are not for everyone. Some people can pull it off and some people look better without one.

Girls, for example, they look better without one. If you have nice smooth unblemish skin, bakit mong gustong babuyin ang positive asset mo? I see a lot of girls with nice long smooth legs and they would butcher their ankle with that aweful huge tattoo. It just throws everything off because everytime someone would look at you, their eyes would automatically focus on that tattoo like a magnet.

I'm not saying you guys shouldn't get one (or another one), just think about it long and hard before getting it.

    well said...i agree...

pati ba naman pagpa-tatô gagawing sexist?!

no, i don't agree with that obviously. if anyone wants to get a tattoo, it's their choice, it shouldn't matter what gender you are. what matters is you really want to get one, and that you are committed to it (hindi lang nakikiuso). as for the design, again it's always up to the person because usually designs are chose accdg to what it means for him or HER.

i have to admit i have been insulted by that post in three ways because (1) i'm a girl, (2) i have more than one tattoo and (3) one of them is on my ankle.

but then that's your opinion anyway, so you're entitled to it and/or that's your problem... at least you admit you're a hypocrite

Bodyplace at Robinson's Galleria has Gene T. doing the tattoos. My ex had a dragon tattooed on his arm na black and gray. Balak pa ngang padagdagan ng design. I think it cost him about 2,000. It was about 5X3.

i'm planning of getting one when i get back to the philippines this april. excited ako at the same time kinakabahan... i wanna get stars for the design.

    hows this for a tattoo?

    or this?

those two designs are the ones i'm choosing from. question lang... how long does it take for a small tattoo to heal?

  15. #95
^ big tattoo... small tattoo... not much difference in healing time.

the only difference is the total area affected. of course if it's a huge tat, it's gonna look as if it heals slower than a small tat.

Just make sure that when you are in your golden years you won't look back and be embarassed by those cutesy tattoos.

as for me, I have no regrets. if i get old with them eh di they are there.

i like this picture more.. usually, it will take u a week to heal your tattoo. u can apply antiseptic cream after bath para mabilis ang pag heal. I have one at my batok, my zodiac sign. i don't have regrets and am contemplating to get another one.

happened to catch that Upgraded show on MTV Philippines this week. they featured Alfred Guevarra because this girl wanted to get a tattoo and a piercing to prove she's not just some goody-goody person. i find that a strange reason to get inked, but it was cool seeing Alfred on tv hanep, his studio still looks the same!
