Hmmm.... even if you enter Mainland China from HK by train, there will be a stop at Lowu and Immigration Officers will check Visas...
kailangan ba ng plane ticket prior to application of china visa?
try also yu yuan garden and xiangyang market. ingat nga lang sa xiang yang kse they will give the price 4 or 5 x the original price pag nalaman nilang foreigner kayo.. and also mapilit sila baka mabigla kayo to the point na hihilahin yung arms nyo.... just don't give in sa una nilang sinabing presyo.
in my case eh , nasobrahan yata ako ng tawad kaya nde maganda ang mukha ng tindera sabay bagsak sa calculator nya.

how long binibigay ng china embassy? can i stay there for a month? same din ba if i want to stay at hk for a month?
posh baby,
Embassy of China issues visas good for 3, 6 and 12 months usually starts on the day you applied. They issue single, double and multiple entry depending on the request of the applicant.
For Hong Kong, Filipino citizens are not required to apply for a visa if you will stay only for 14 days or less.
I just came from a business trip in Shanghai. I didn't need to personally apply for the visa, neither did I need to present a plane ticket. I had the company's travel agent fix everything for me. All I needed to do was submit all the requisite documents (2 2x2 photos-white background, filled-up application form, and business invite). Of couse, it will cost a lot more, had to pay about PhP4800 for everything. But it only took a few days, and I was given 3 months double entry--which the business invite specified, in the first place.
I stayed at the Jin Jiang Hotel, along Mao Ming Road--only about 100 meters away from Huai Hai Road. The hotel was about a 20-minute walk to the Xian Yang Market, which will close by the end of June (reminds me of the fate of Suan Lum Market in Bangkok). We also went to one of the bars on top of one of the buildings along the Bund (the European Quarter), which provided a good view of the TV tower and Shanghai's skyline at night.
Too bad I didn't get to visit Nanjing Road.
Shanghai is perhaps the most expensive city in China, so you can expect to spend a lot on meals (especially drinks!), transportation and shopping, especially. A drink in Xin Tian Di (think Eastwood and Greenbelt) can set you back RMB40-60, which is what I paid for a pair of fake Raybans (RMB60)and a fake lesportsac bag (RMB50) in Xian Yang Market--do the math. And it's the same in most restaurants, too.
I am here in China now...
getting a China Visa in the Philippines is effortless.. The counter lady did not even ask me a question. She did not ask for plane tickets and all that..
Beijing is adorable!!![]()
By the way before I forget,
Getting a Chinese Visa in H.K is actually more cheaper than getting it in Manila...![]()
but can one actually be denied a visa from the chinese embassy?i wish i was able to visit shanghai also. instead i had a trip in xiamen, chengdu and this paradise somewhere south. it is an amazing place, but i think its for couples
hi
i just got a chinese visa single entry fro 14 days
gusto ko sana nga 3 months or more and multiple entry
kaso mahirap n daw makuha ngayon yun ehh
medyo mahigpit n daw
any feedback?

I have a few questions.. I'm going to HK with my friend and we will be in HK for 5 days.. Then, I will be going to Shanghai afterwards while my friend will go back to Manila herself.
When I arrive in shanghai I will tour the place first and after 2 days my friend in Guangzhou will meet up with me in shanghai and we will tour Suzhou and Hangzhou.
My question is VISA. The chinese embassy website didn't give me much information regarding the requirements. All I did is print out the application form.
I saw in the website that it requires to see that I have booked a hotel in China, is that right? Do I need to write a letter stating why I want to go there? What else do I need to have besides my passport, pictures, ID and the application form? Do I have to know someone in China? Do I have to show my bank account?
I need to fix the visa here in Manila so when I go to HK it will not be a hassle for me while touring.
I hope someone can help me out here... thanks.....
Get in touch with a travel agent. They can process the visa on your behalf. I think you need to pay them 2k(?) and that already includes the visa fee. I have not been to China by the way but I planned on going sometime last year that's why I asked around on how to acquire one.
