We were able to go caving (around Sumaguing and at the entrance of Lumiang) with a guide (Frenzel -- one of the better guides imo) who knew a lot about the rock formations and the distinctive features of the cave. He was very attentive and gave us neat tidbits here and there about the cave, its history and some facts about spelunking. The other guides were not so informative and seemed to just want to finish the tour.
If you get to Sagada and go caving, be ready to get wet (malamig!) so wear slippers, shorts would be great too as the water can get waste deep in some areas and you need to as much leg movement as you can coax.
We went to the big falls (Bomod-ok) after lunch via a picturesque walk amongst beautiful rice terraces (I'd have to say that this is one of the highlights of the trip). The falls itself is a good hour's walk downhill so be ready to have water or a water bottle with you that you can fill at the springs along the path. You can take a dip at the falls' basin but be ready to scale wet rocks.
NOTE: Huwag niyo gawin ang ginawa namin kasi laspag kayo at the end of the day at sasakit ang katawan niyo kinabukasan. Try to do only one major activity in a day so you can appreciate it more.

Sumaguing and Lumiang Cave Php 350 (complete with guide and lamp rental) -- you can't go without a guide, a Korean delegation with nothing but a flashlight got lost inside once and guides had to mount a rescue effort to find them
Big Falls (Bomod-ok) Php 500 -- you can get to this place without a guide but I doubt it if the locals will be as welcoming to you, you also need to pay Php 10 a head at a store along the route; I also suggest that you rent a jeep (Php 500) to take you there as it is a long walk and you will need all the energy you can muster for the 1 1/2 hour uphill walk back to the road.
Spaghetti (meatsauce, but the others are great as well) at Shamrock
Banana Pancake (the others are good too) at Shamrock
Strawberry yoghurt at the Yoghurt House
Mountain Tea at St. Joe's Cafe
Native Delicacies at the Village Bistro (by reservation only)
Special mention goes to Shamrock as the food there is just terrific. St. Joe's has great food as well.
Be ready to wait for your food as they dont pre-cook their meals; do be patient as it is well worth the wait.
Average meal price: 70 bucks
some of the meals go as high as 120 pesos but the portions are huge and truly delicious

Masfere (masferre?) was a foreigner (swiss, I think) who moved to Sagada several decades ago before we were born. He took some great black and white pictures of the natives; some of them are on the restaurant walls.Originally posted by mac326
eat breakfast at masaferre's (don't know kung tama spelling ko). sarap dun!
He married a native and his son is still around, taking pictures, too I think.
In all my travels in the Philippines, there's only two places where I detect a consistent feeling of power and energy. These are Sagada and the mystic Mt. Banahaw in Quezon province.
