wandawoman: i think june is fairly safe. basta dont go during the rainy season. the road to sagada is VERY dangerous. Dont bring a car. Its best to take the bus, at least the busdrivers know the roads.
princess ariel: we stayed there sa The GreenHouse. very cheap. as in P120 a night..and that room is good for two. pero yun nga lang, communal bathroom. but once u get there, its so easy to look for a place to stay. napaka-liit ng sagada. maiikot mo yung town proper in 1 hour by foot! maybe even less... |

mauve_2002: i would say around 3 whole days (or maybe even just two) is enough.. the only problem is it takes mga 14 hours to get there. kaya ang daming time lost. pero while ur there na in sagada, take time na rin to visit the nearby places, like Banawe and Batad. sayang kasi yung trip pag hindi mo pa sinulit.

oooh, i love this place. beautiful sights to see and delish food to pig on
last time we went there...we took the long trip. from manila to solano to banaue to bontoc then sagada. i think it took us almost 16 hours because we got a flat tire. anyway, twas one of the best 5-day vacays i've ever had. mauve_2002 one of the best known inns in Sagada is St. Joseph's. they serve really really good food this is the one across St. Mary's Church. if you don't find available rooms there, you'll find a lot of accomodations near the municipal hall. and yeah, don't forget to register at their tourist info center. also check out sumaging cave, the burial caves, their waterfalls and be sure to explore the town. ![]() i agree with flavvvah. make the trip worth your while. try to stay 3 days or more. enjoy! ![]() |

It's actually quicker to go straight to Sagada from Manila than by going through Baguio.

u can take cable tours from manila. hirap nga lang hanapin station nila. it's inside the trinity college in e.rod. 8 hrs travel time from manila to bontoc. when u get to bontoc, u can take the jeepney going to sagada. 30-1 hr *** depende sa driver.

me and my friend drove all the way from manila to sagada. nakakatakot! we will never ever drive going to sagada again. to top it all, we drove from sagada to tuguegarao via halsema highway.
Day 1 anyways, we left manila at 12 midnight then stopped at banaue for like an hour for photos then we went to bontoc and stopped at shell to get gas. after bontoc, it's about an hour drive going to sagada. at about 2pm, we finally arrived at sagada. we stayed at st. joseph's inn. they charge 300 for a room good for 2 people. upon loading our stuffs at the inn, we went to the tourist information center to register our names then ate lunch at shamrock's cafe. after eating our 3pm lunch, we planned to have our afternoon siesta that lasted until the next morning. hehe... Day 2 went to the information center and picked up our guide. we first went to sumaguing cave where the natural formations are just amazing. then we went to lumiang cave where coffins are stacked on top of each other. after going to the caves, we dropped off our guide at the information center. after eating lunch, we went to echo valley to see the hanging coffins. we were too tired to go down the valley. good thing we brought binoculars. we planned to go to the big falls but the elders were having their rituals stuff thats why we settled for the small falls. the small falls is not really a good place to swim but it was cool to walk by the rice terraces going to the small falls. Day 3 picture taking around town. left sagada for tuguegarao via halsema highway. check out our pictures! http://www.photonski.com/leon82/banauesagada |

Posting from SAGADA!
Took the 8pm bus to Bontoc (the terminal is at the gate of Trinity College; 400 bucks a head) and arrived at Bontoc at exactly 8am (talk about efficiency, they promised a 12-hour bus ride and they delivered). Took a jeep at the next street corner to Sagada (45-minute jeepney ride; 25 pesos per).
Internet access here is expensive because the connection is done via satellite (60 pesos per hour). The food is great and so's the weather. Try to get a room at a place with a great view, you won't regret it! Note: If you plan on visiting the Village Bistro ask around because you might miss it. Bring thick clothes and don't forget to bring flashlights. If you guys are Winston Lights smokers, buy them in Manila as they are hard to come by in these parts. Magbaon din kayo ng mga bf at gf para hindi masyadong malamig. After note: Walang condoms dito. |
