for those who did not understand vanilla sky....watch abre los ojos (open your ryes)...the original version also starring penelope cruz in the same role

now this movie is much more easier to understand kasi magaling yung pagka direct...not that i'm saying na di magaling yung directore ng vanilla sky...its just that yung director ng abre los ojos na communicat nya sa audience yung story na malinaw

(or Terror at the Opera). Ang galing galing! Isama niyo na rin iyong phenomena niya! Tsaka Inferno! Ang galing ni Dario Argento!

I just find movies written by the person who did Being John Malkovich, ETernal Sunshine churva churva, as vapid and pointless. Err... They're making too much of an effort to be weird. Unlike other people who don't do it consciously. John Waters, for instance. Pink Flamingoes was an instant classic. God, I don't know if anyone here can really "take" that movie. But, it was done in all earnestness without the "let's get smart" high hat airs.

Astroantiquity: I agree with you. Charlie Kaufman may be eccentric, but he shouldn't shove his eccentricities towards the viewing public. I was disappointed with Eternal Sunshine...it was a muddled film which could have been great if the writer and director didn't complicate things.

I like David Lynch, mostly because of Twin Peaks.

My two favorite movies ever are Memento and American Beauty, which most people find either weird or unsettling. I guess my taste in movies is just markedly different from the general viewing public.
