there's this derma sa Greenhills..her name is Dra. Edna Gatan..she's amazing!!! i've tried like..3 dermas before her..chinese, filipino dermatologists..she's the best! and her products work, they're cheaper too!!
Do you or will you ever go to Bangkok?Originally posted by kateh
I've been to three dermatologists in the span of 5 years. The thing is after my visit with the derma, mawawala pimples and blemishes ko, pero after 3-4 weeks, ayan na naman.
I travel a lot kasi sa work ko, sometimes 1-2 months ako nasa field. The longest was 4 months. Can anyone recommend a derma that not only treats acne but prescribes meds that prevent it too? Yung hindi ko kailangang pumunta every two weeks for maintenance.
I tried several dermas in Phils, they were competent.
My Thai derma is totally unreal! Her products are so cheap but very effective. She gave me these anti-acne pills that I had to take for 7 days straight and I havent had a breakout since I took the last dose. Oh yeah, her treatments are good value too.
ako rin parang di na naniniwala sa derma. i have atopic dermatitis. i tried 2 doctors already. yun una, lalo lumala yung atopic dermatitis ko. lalong dumami tapos madami pang mga bawal na foods. the second naman sa makati med, sobrang expensive. P500 for consultation, tapos every week ka nya papapuntahin. hindi pa kasama don yun soap na P100 na 1 week mo lang magagamit and yung creams na sobrang mahal din. gumaling ang atopic dermatitis ko pero after 1 month bumalik uli.Originally posted by Lucio_Liu
di na ako nagpupunta dito sa mga to, di naman effective, nagsayang lang ako ng thousand bucks and i regret going to these so called dermatologists, pagkakakitaan ka lang nila lalo na sa Dermclinic. pero kung may personal kayong kakilala na dermatologist (as in doctor ha), go for it kasi di lang business ang tingin nya sa yo. yung iba kasi mukhang pera (sorry to say).
Meron ba in Makati na medyo affordable?

para yatang lahat ng derma ninyo kailangan every week or every two weeks pumupunta ka for consulation... my job requires me to travel extensively kasi and the most time i can give would be a once every 6-8 weeks.
meron bang derma na ganon?
siguro it will depend kung gano kasi kabilis mag-develop ang acne sa face mo.... yung sa atopic dematitis naman, mahirap kasi talaga pagalingin yan. may cousin din ako who has the same. eh kain pa ren sya ng kain ng bawal. kaya hindi sya matulungan ng derma. bawal ren pati mga instant noodles eh. bawal kahit anong may preservatives and may food coloring. bawal ren ang crabs, shrimps, eggs, chicken... bumabalik din talaga yan dahil parang allergy yan eh. ang gamot na alam ko pinagamit sa pinsan ko is diprosalic cream. mas ok na sana pinsan ko eh. tapos he started eating everything bawal nanaman....
Ill probably would never go back to a derma again, ever, especially DermClinic. What a waste of money, they runied my face, thanks a lot. And whatever they said prior to the treament, they completely changed after the treatment when I was asking why is this like this and that. They are a bunch of a.ssholes
go to a doctor derma... don't go to commercial dermas.

What a waste of money. may alam ako na cheap talaga...yung let's face it...my friend tried their glycolic peel treatment, 600 pesos lang sya tapos pag buy mo yung soap, pimple treatment, cream, and sunblock, almost 1500 lang. So far nag improve yung face nya. Sobrang opily yung face nya and yung pores nya sobrang laki, which cause her pimples. sa ngayon, nag clear yung face nya, di na oily.
after about three treatments yun, tapos ater nun they recommend *** power peel, ganda din yun, mas mahal nga lang, P2K ata per session.
sobrang expensive ata ng mga derma na sinasabi nyo...pero sa totoo *** ha magastos talaga magpaganda. TIngnan nyo yung mga mayayaman ang gaganda ng skin, dami kasi pera...![]()
i had acne problems during my teen years....ang derma ko nun e si Dra. Ruffy sa may Binan Doctors Hospital......sun lang ata yung clinic niya e, pero sa lahat ng derma na pinuntahan siya yung pinakamagaling at sulit, in terms of her fee.....kasi ang palagi niyang gagawin sa iyo e cleaning every two weeks kung medyo malala yung acne problem tapos it becomes three weeks pagmedyo nawawala na....tapos ang mga gamot na nire-recommend niya effective at hiyang sa balat talaga.....ang cleaning niya e P400, tpos yung antibiotic solution e P90, tapos medicine is usually P400 or around that price....so usually ang isang session sa kaniya e less than P1000....which to me is pretty reasonable considering you're getting real quality treatment....but kung pupunta kayo dun kailangan magpa-schedule kayo kasi madaming tao palagi....sometimes i wait from morning til afternoon.....try her, yun nga lang masakit talaga yung cleaning....palagi akong umiiyak pagpumupunta ako sa kaniya.....try niyo.....i think her schedule is every T-Th-Sat.
my dermatologist is dr. chiong. she has a clinic in eastwood called renegy dermatology center. she shares it with 3 other dermatologists. and i know this could just be attributed to their genes but they all have nice skin!
they offer three kinds of laser treatments: scars, whitening and skin diseases. P2000 for the first 20 beams, P50 for each succeeding one.
i had an unfortunate case of skin allergy last month that left marks and scars on my face. it's really terrible because, modesty aside, my face was scar-free prior to the allergy.
she gave me two creams (P700 for both) for lightening my marks which i've been using religiously for the past two weeks. yesterday, i had 2 laser treatments (for scars and for marks) which cost me P3900.
my face has improved a lot! the scars have become really shallow and the marks have lightened. i'll have my next check up two weeks from now and i'll know if i need another laser treatment or not.
i read in another thread that dr. sylvia huang is a good dermatologist. has anybody heard of her? san ang clinic nya at magkano ang charges niya? is she really that good?
Healthy lifestyle, too. Try drinking Japanese Green Tea (think NOT Starbucks) 4-6 cups daily.
Eat:
2 apples, 2 cucumbers, 2 lemons everyday on a regular basis.
Try to check if your acne is due to your bad eating habits. Do trial and error, ex., refrain from eating high carb with refined sugar, trans-/ hydrogenated fat.
just make sure guys, DONT GO TO DERMCLINIC
i agree with CellSeeker! peperahan ka lang talaga ng DermClinic.
phew! buti nalang!!! i was planning to go to dermclinic na because it's near my school...
okay na sana ako eh. i was supposed to go to my derma today, kaso he passed away last tuesday. tanda na kasi eh. oh well.
question: san clinic ni sylvia huang? diba sa makati lang siya? and magkano professional fee niya? is she really really good? i don't really wanna try a mediocre derma's services.
