DSWD Travel Permit for Minors [Merged]
Do I still need to get a Parental Travel Permit from DSWD even if I am already a Permanent Resident (PR) of another country?

If you are traveling with a minor (below 18) without that minor's parents, yes you do.

As far as I know, you have to have your spouse execute the travel permit from the place where he is staying (you have to have this notarized before the Philippine consulate there, gastos ito). Then submit that with your own application. But double-check with DSWD, Ill post the number as soon as I find it.
In the meantime try this: www.dswd.gov.ph |

processed
processed the Parental Travel Permit today.
7:45 am arrived at 1680 FT Benitez, Manila, signed in with the guard who gave me a red number (renewal), i was #3. 8:30 am i was called and an officer reviewd my documents 8:37 am i was paying P300 at the chashier. release of my son's documents were at 11 am, so i left to eat and went back at 12 noon. reminder to parents: xerox everything, passports, documents and have at least 2 passport size photos of the minor, also check the permit before you leave the office. I was about to exit the compound when i re-checked the information on the permit, issue date and expiry date were the same, so i ran back to have it corrected to reflect the 1 year validity period. they are open 7 am to 5 pm week days, serving only metro manila residents. |

Thanks titagirl for this info - I'm going to tell my classmate because she's going through the same thing. Her husband and son will be going to Canada after they've been away for five years..... She told me she needs this too.

DOT Travel Tax
you can also get travel tax exemption (kids below 2, ofw dependents and permanent residents of another country) or discount for kids...the office is at the back of manila doctor's medical arts building, the Dept. of Tourism office...also need xerox of passports.
processing fee is P200 per person, the exemption ticket can be claimed within half an hour. |

just used the travel permit, naiinis lang ako kasi sbi ng dswd officer na multiple use daw para xeroxed copy lang ibigay ko sa immigration at keep ko orig...WRONG...nakipagtalo pa ako sa immigration officer dahil ayaw tanggapin xerox ko, tapos kinuha original. so, when kailangan ko ulit pipila at magbabayad na naman ako, pinoy red tape talaga.

YES unless
yup. you will need an affidavit of consent from your spouse, notarized, then the spouse left in the philippines has to fill up the forms; unless, if your spouse is already in another country, they only accept the notarized permit obtained from the philippine embassy or consulate there and xerox copy of passport, sometimes also the xerox copy of the pages where the arrival and departure stamps are...and then the forms necessary can be filled up by you.
they ask you for the dswd documents at the departure area of the immigration at the philippine airport from where you will be leaving. download the form needed at the website JdelaCruz provided (see above posts). |

neobe: Do you mean a Philippine Passport? What if the passport was issued by the DFA office in a foreign country? |

alam ko pang pinoy lang ito, since US passport anak mo, e, hindi siya pinoy citizen, hindi na siya covered ng dswd.
ang dswd pang kids below 18 years old na philippine passport holder, regardless of place of issue... to make sure talaga, ask the philippine embassy diyan sa malapit sa iyo |

Ask na rin ako ng question 'bout this.
My sister is getting marrried next year and plan ko sana papuntahihn yung anak ko dito, on a tourist visa, ano ba mauuna, pagkuha ng DSWD permit o interview muna sa embassy. Plus, mga kapatid ko ang makakasama ng baby ko, what else do I need? |

DSWD permit can be processed at anytime, pero huwag naman last minute sa araw or day before na aalis na anak mo...GET the US VISA first, then get the DSWD permit.
walang other parent bang kasama ang anak mo? ang daddy ba ng anak mo nasa pilipinas? kasi required documents sa bata na walang parents na kasama magtravel ay iba...may checklist ang dswd, paki ask na lang dun sa office nila. sorry at familiar lang ako sa "one parent travel" requirements. anyway eto ang general requirements sa initial dswd travel permit: SECPA (original na paper from census) birth certificate of child, SECPA marriage contract, notarized affidavit of consent to travel and support (signed by both parents since iba ang kasama magtravel), atbp... yung sa census meron sila website sa <www.e-census.com.ph> na puwede on-line ikuha ng birth certificate (P175 per document at metrobank babayaran) ang anak mo. i tried this na at lbc ang nagdedeliver, you just need to leave an id card and letter of authority sa taong magre-receive ng documents kasi hindi nila iiwan. OR i had a travel agency process the dswd for my son the first time we travelled, less hassle kasi sila ang pipila at sila nag-aask ng documents needed, kaso taga at mahal ang processing fees. |
