    Question Bacolod

    anybody here from Bacolod (or who have been there)? We'll be spending a weekend there. Please suggest nice beach resorts and things to do ... and of course... food to eat!

    went here for the MASKARA Festival.walang malapit na resorts within the city na beach e.sabe nung friend ko na taga dun 2 hours drive pa daw.You can try Mambukal mountain resort.may pool and falls dun maganda yung place.45 mins drive from the city.careful lang sa TALABA/oysters kse naconfine ako due to food poisoning dahil dito.sabe ng doctor ko madami daw silang cases nun sa Bacolod dahil sa oysters Visit Manokan Country near the plaza for chicken inasal.Ok dun sa Aida's yun daw original atska pinaka ok *** timpla nila madami ding branches ng BOB'S ok naman yung food affordable.parang Pancake house dito

    yup It's a nice cozy, private beach. It's not like Boracay (with its "party" atmosphere).

    we went to lakawon last week. ok naman *** place wag lang masyadong maselan. the accomodations are very spartan and generator-powered *** island kaya electric power is only from 5pm-8am.

    the beach is so nice. ang sarap mag-relax at di masyadong matao kaya ok talaga if you want a quiet place to rest.

    un nga lang...pricey ang food! bawiin n lang sa ganda ng beach! hehehe

    ^ I'm glad you liked it. I was able to go there when the island didn't even have a toilet (at least none that I remember seeing). But that's the appeal of Lakawon.

    share ko lang yung mga nice things sa Bacolod:

    MANOKAN     at *** carinderia atmosphere ang sarap din!

    KUPPA. its a new coffee shop. very affordable, nice interiors, cozy place to hang out, and numerous choices

    CALEA pastry/coffee shop near L'Fisher Hotel (im not sure), open until 11pm and they also have a branch at Robinson's Iloilo. Grabe naman talaga ang sarap ng cakes nila! Sarap isabay sa tea! hay! Feels heaven talaga! When I saw all the cakes...i literally drooled over it! hehehe and when I heard the price...aba! parang gusto kong mag-jumping jack sa tuwa! hehehe

    Kain ka sa Aboy's. Malapit sa airport. Sarap pinoy food. Try mo yung Squid Ink. Bawal yata sa high blood. Hehe.

    enjoy kayo sa bacolod. hehe, di ko lang alam kung san ko kayo pwede recommend dito. maybe sa MANUKAN COUNTRY.

    tapos sa 18th HOLE wala na kasi *** PALA PALA e. kung mahilig kayo sa sea foods punta kayo dito. eto na ang alternative na kainan.

    hmmm, san pa ba sa MAMBUCAL - 1 to 1.5 hrs ang byahe papunta dun.

    sa PALMAS DEL MAR - though i never liked the place, pwede na rin kung gusto mo watch ng sunset. hehe

    sa december pala meron ding PANAAD SPECIAL so may mga shows dun

    The road to Lakawon from Bacolod proper is bumpy. The road is not paved. During low tides, you have to walk thru a long narrow rocky path to reach the bangkas or the shore if you're coming from Lakawon.

    These aside, the place is worth it.
