^you might wanna go to Executive Optical, they have qualoty eye glasses at very affordable and reasonable price.

If you are really looking for affordable eyeglasses-- go to Quiapo.

I bought my BF a new frame for his eyeglasses and since it's a surprise di ko na muna sinabay yun lense.. I bought Dakota Smith around P5k+ discounted na siya kase original price niya is P6k+. Medyo clueless kase ako sa brands ng eyeglasses, dinala ko lang yun eyeglasses niya para I can find a similar frame. Kaso I let them check the lens sa eyeglasses and mahal ng estimate mga nasa P7k-P8k daw kase sobrang taas na.

Worth it ba ang trip to Paterno? My friend says wag daw pupunta ng weekends.

Last week I visited an optical shop in Harrison Plaza (oldskul, ikr). Saw a vintage steel frame, naka-promo at P500 with lens na.
Ang tanong ko is, what's better: pagawa ng 3 pairs (meron pa kasi akong dalawang frame na galing lang SM) na normal lens lang -or- one pair na with multicoat? I know you guys are familiar with the term. Both will cost me maximum P2k. I spend 5 days a week fronting a computer btw.

Sayang yung UV protection. And it's nice having your eyes visible in pics when you get AR coating instead of getting a white reflection.

    Zenni Optical review

Took the plunge and got glasses from Zenni Optical. Nainis ako kasi I was going to order through a friend abroad to take advantage of the free shipping tapos after processing my order sabihin ba naman nila na di pwede ang magkaibang billing at shipping address. E ba't pinayagan ng online order system nila! Hmp.

Anyway, I paid around P3.2k all-in na sulit na rin compared to the P5.5+k I paid for my current glasses. Ang mahal kasi ng lenses ko, >P5k, so I had to buy the cheapest frames in the store (P450).

Here's a pic of the glasses:

Sorry 'bout the red arrows. I'm asking Zenni if the rubber things ought to be removed and they can't understand my question.

The frame is memory titanium with 80% polarizing sunglasses. They're rather heavy and the nosepads are too widely spaced. The lenses are thin at 1.61 (I didn't think 1.67 or 1.71 was worth the additional cost) and have multi-coating.

Next time I'll go for the titanium alloy frames that only weigh 9g.

^Wow yan yung pwedeng shades narin di ba? Nice.

Thanks for the replies.
I only have one pair since I started wearing glasses last year (Feb). Gusto ko pa sana ng isa pa.
Doc says I should go for the full plastic frame since ang grado ko is 50/325.
I've always wanted the classy & sexy steel frames but sobrang laki ng lagpas, hindi na sexy yun e. Isa pa, my nose gets numb with the nosepads, one thing na ayaw ko sa steel frames.

when i ask around re: lenses, price ranges from 1500 (?) - 1900 for semi thin and 2500 up (meron pa ngang nag quote ng 4000 sa ideal!) for ultra thin...wala na bang mumura pa don na multi coated? mataas grado ko eh, 600...kaya when i buy glasses palaging inaabot more than 5K. inis. gusto ko pa naman papalit palit. i only have 2 pairs now, a nautica (black) and sean john (tortoishell). i think i have to have my nauticas replaced pero yoko na ng mahal (tipirin ko na lang ang lens sana haha)
