my son's pedia is in capitol medical center along quezon ave. her name is dr. melencia sese. okay sya, may pagka-conservative, which i like more than yung iba na mas aggressive ang treatment pag nagkakasakit ang babies. she holds clinic at VRPMC din.

thanks, her name was also given to me by a colleague. She must be really good. Am going to see her monday. I was told she holds clinic only in the morning.

VRPMC is along EDSA near Boni Ave. I don't think they have a branch in QC.

pusicat, if you're looking for a good pedia in the QC area, check out the ones in capitol medical center. madami silang magagaling na doctors.

can you recommend a good pedia na pro-breastfeeding na affiliated with medical city?

my son's pedia-allergiologist is based at st. luke's hospital. she's very nice and accomodating, she won't mind kahit tawagan ko pa sya sa cell nya during wee hours even kahit for petty inquiries lang. medyo mahal nga lang kasi 500 per visit pero worth it. she knows her craft well.

yung pedia na kilala ko is very good. her name is dr rowena gan. but she's not with st luke's. sa udmc sya. which is probably 2 miles from st' lukes. she was my son's pedia and she really did a great job. she will answer all your questions, however dumb you think it might be.

if you're around makati or don't mind going there.. look for dr. jose clemente in makati med. very competent and i like the way he handles kids.

i love the way he administered my daughters vaccine shots.. di umiyak yung baby ko.

i highly recommend him especially if you're a new parent and would be a bit clueless about taking care of your child.

my baby's pedia is dr. rizalito ocampo of delosantos med ctr. he's good at breastfeeding advocate sya. he patiently answers all your questions. its really very hard to find pro-breastfeeding drs. marami sa kanila ang hindi maalam sa breastfeeding and they always compare your breastfed babies to formula-fed ones. syempre breastfed babies tend to be smaller and lean but they rarely get sick.

    Who is your Pedia????

    hello mommies

It will be good if we could give the name of the doctor, hospital affiliation, specialization , contact numbers of our pedia. I noticed most of the threads specially those for the new moms are asking about a good pedia. So i decided to create this thread. Hope this could help. Byt the way if there is a similar thread to this one i wouldnt get mad if the moderators will delete this.

    Just want to share.

    Here is Gabriel's Pedia :

    Name : Dra. Belen Escober-Velasco
    Phil. Children's Medical Center (PCMC)
    Room 12 Ground Floor
    Telephone Number 924 6601 to 25 loc. 279

    Specialization : Pediatrics and Neonatology

Affiliate Hospitals : Capitol Medical Center
    Fatima Medical Center
    Fe Del Mundo Medical Center
    Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital
    Philippine Heart Center

She is very entertaining specially to those first-tim-mom like me. I dont hesitate to call her even on wee hours. I remember calling her at around 2 am just to ask *** to give gabriel coz of his poopoo is watery??? Grabe sobrang takot ako nun. Kinapalan ko na face ko nun i thought she wont answer the call but she did and gave me the instruction and you couldnt hear any panic on her voice. Kaya mawawala ang takot mo pag kausap mo sya.

Sorry for the long post, mommies hope this thread could give help not only to those first time moms.

    Happy Pedia Hunting !!!!

    Dr. Edna Panganiban-Llido
    Rm.316-317 Medical Arts Bldg.
    St.Luke's Medical Center

She's really nice and good. SHe's a bit traditional and her style is always preventive. If I am not mistaken, she used to be the pedia of the children of the prince of Brunei.

    Dra. Marian Colasito.
Rm. 318 Las Pinas Medical Center

She's affiliated with Asian Hospital and Perpetual Hospital as well. She also holds clinic at MIPS in Nature's Church.

Really good pedia. Di siya basta confine lang ... inoobserve muna niya and very accomodating since you can call her on her celphone pa to ask questions.
