People Support Or Convergys???

I know some of you might think I cant get enough of the call center threads. I read the separate forums regarding these two call center companies... it seems pareho lang sila ng benefits and pay.Me and my friend are given job offers at these two call centers.My friend accepted the job offer at the other company and me at the other call center. The salary package are almost the same. I just want to get input from the insiders as to what kind of environment these two call centers have. Im just curious if I made the right decision. It's pretty normal for employees working in their respective companies to endorse their "mother" company. Sometimes, we can lose our objectivity because of this.

All I could possibly say is : observe, compare, be objective, prioritze and decide, and be ready to face the consequences (good or bad) of your decision. In any case, make the best out of your stay in either customer contact center.

I heard the pay is better daw sa PS. A bit higher lang naman than CONVERGYS... any more feedbacks???.... hope I can get more replies...thanks

i don't work in either of these companies pero based on what i have read in all the forums here in pex, and also from friends who work in these companies, mas maganda daw talaga sa PS. mas ok ang environment at competitive naman daw ang salary and benefits.

well, i guess if u really have plans of building a career in a call center.. siguro mas okay sa convergys kase it's juz recently put up tpos daming expansions.. so the chances of promotions are high.. heheh.. samantalang sa ps.. hmm dami na waves dun diba???

i beg to disagree michaela. PS is also expanding like hell. the cebu call center was opened last year. they are the 2nd call center to open in cebu after sykes. the PS building construction in makati (infront of RCBC) is already in the pipeline. they already have a total of 3 call centers. one in philamlife bldg, 12 and 14 floors. another in JG summit in ayala 29th to 33th floor. the travel and tech teams have just started operations in cebu and HR is hiring like hell as well. they need to hire 1200 tech support reps.

also, when it comes to environment, PS is the best for me. i've been to 3 call centers and nothing beats the friendly environment in PS. PS actually started the "dress down" policy in the industry. We don't have a business attire/konyo type of dress code here.

By the way, i have an officemate who made it to convergys but when he was given the offer, he turned it down because the rate is just the same daw and he claims that the environment is so stiff. parang sobrang strict daw sa convergys.

pahabol. actually gusto ko rin i-try sa convergys. last year kasi yung dumating yung Convergys, PS barred all its employees from applying there. successful naman sila kasi parang "friends" ata yung HR director namin atsaka nila (i don't know) kaya black listed kami non. anyway, ngayon daw ok na. pwede na kaming mag-apply.

yun nga lang ayoko na talaga sa call center and eventually i'm gonna leave PS to pursue a career in banking. I know i'm gonna miss this company A LOT!

hi peeps, can some1 pls give the comparison between the two companies in terms of compensation package like basic salary, benefits etc.. thanks. (kung di po pwede post, maski pa-PM na lang po, this would help a lot coz im planning transfer in either convergys or PS. thanks)

haha as if naman "masasaktan" ka if some1 would say something not 2 good abt ur company,besides we do know better than that para "masaktan" db.

its a matter of perspective.depende sa personality which company would better suit u.

hello!!! nasa convergys moi and i belong to wave(?). i also came from PS. this is what i have to say: the pay i get doesn't compensate the environment and kind of culture that PS has. pero ok lang. la na kong magagawa. i just miss PS!
