    Hi,

Just present all the documents that will somehow prove your "strong ties to the Philippines", even if you feel it isn't strong. If you want to go to Germany and its nearby European neighboring countries (all very nice), then you'll have to at least try applying. Just be ready to present a good case.

Your certificate of employment and approved leave from the company will help since it indicates the date you will return for work. Bank accounts and other assets such as property (you said "don't have much property" so there's a bit, right?) will really help also.

Your friend's formal obligation will help as well. It was a big factor in my first Schengen visa application, which I lodged at the French Embassy (I am single also). I showed the attestation d'accueil, which my French host secured from their municipal hall in Paris.

Hope this helps and good luck!

My dilemma is that I have been a part time worker and then recently just absorbed by the company which I am working in. I have no problems with certification because my friend will get this Formal Obligation doc from his place.

What is boggling me is the fact that I don't have strong ties in the Philippines as I am currently single and don't have much property. The only thing I can present is my current application staus for immigrant visa in the US. It is still pending and I have to really go back to the Philippines once my day for the interview comes.

Will this be a valid reason for strong ties?

    Thanks!

In behalf of waterfront, No, they will return your passport and will ask you to return on the said date in your receipt. Then you have to bring your passport on that same date, because they will tell then and there if you are approved or not. Normally, all the persons that are approved are called first

  4. #3564
^ We had a different experience with the french embassy. They kept our passports and told us to send a representative to come back on the scheduled date. They then told our representative that we have to personally go back to the embassy since we need to sign a waiver. This was just last week.

Thanks for the advice. I have started the process of securing supporting documents for my application as I plan to schedule the interview around December (yeah I know it's kinda uber cold there! LOL)

    :-)

My question is, hindi ba maaapektuhan ng apply ko for working visa yun nangyari skin before (nadeny na apply ko sa iceland) ??? Knowing na isa lang yun embassy nila..?

I'm just worried, natrauma na ata ko sa experienced ko dun (sa visa denied) hehe..

    Thanks!

    August 20th to September 15
    Multiple Entry
Duration of Stay is 12 days

Please correct me if I am wrong this means I can enter the Schengen area multiple times (coming from the Non-Schenge area like the UK) provided each entry wouldn't exceed 12 days right?
yes, that's right..just don't forget your date of expiration. =)

  8. #3568
Diba its 12 days lang talaga. First entry like 5 days. So remaining nalang 7 days sa next entry

  9. #3569
    Awww which one is which?

yung explantion ni silver or bo_boi?

In any case ok lang naman kahit mag extend ako ng 3 more days on top of 5 days at hindi na ulit ako babalik ng Schengen area kasi 12 days naman yung duration of stay.

  10. #3570
So ibig sabihin pala yung 12 days cumulative siya

=) From what I've understood, you were given a multiple entry visa, right? The validity of which is from August 20 to the 15th of September, with 12 days of duration of stay.

So, in my understanding, you can enter the schengen area to and fro- from August 20- September 15, and everytime you enter, you are only entitled of a 12-day stay.

    Well, that's just my 2 cents. =)

    Hello everyone,

I have a question and hope someone can help. My passport got stamped twice during my exit to Vienna, because I entered the wrong immigration gate (I went to arrivals instead of departure) and had to enter a different immigration gate. Would this count as a 'different' entry even if I just switched immigration gates?

Maybe I'm just paranoid but would this be ok or should I inform the embassy that there was an error? Could someone look into the photo I attached if this is ok? I usually have the worst of luck with travel.

    Hello there,

If your destination is Germany, you have to make an appointment at the Embassy of Germany. First, you need to make an appointment via the call center. The appointment date that they would give you will depend on the number of applicants (Germany Embassy has a lot of applicants, actually) Then after you have your date of appointment, you have to complete your papers/documents needed for the VISA approval, so that when yopu go to the embassy on your appointment date, you'll have a higher chance of being approved.

It doesn't matter if your German friend will come with you at the embassy or not. What matters is that your documents. Make sure you have all ready during the appointment date.

    Goodluck. =)

@WA ERICH, hi, first of all, I'm a woman. But it's fine. No harm done calling me "sir". hehe.

I don't know the call center numbers because every country has different call center hotlines.

Where will you pass your application for visa? If Spain is the country where you'll stay the longest, then call and set an appointment at the Spain Embassy in Makati. You don't have to pay for the scheduling of appointment. It's free. Just dial the hotline. They have choices like Smart/PLDT/Globe hotlines. Just pick your choice. (The call is expensive, by the way, almost like a dollar per minute.)

After you set an appointment, (the call center agent will give you the date of your appointment? It's usually around 15 days after the call or a month depending on the country of your chosen destination. Some schengen countries have a lot of scheduled appointments, while some just have a few.)

The visa takes around 10-15 days ( if your papers are really complete). Sometimes, just around a week and the visa will be released.

    Goodluck. =)

duration of stay is cumulative - you can stay within the Schengen area for a total of 12 days

    Example :

Enter and Stay in France - 5 days
Went to UK and stayed for 3 days (not counted)
Entered Germany and stayed for 3 days
From Germany, went to Amsterdam and stayed for 3 days
    Total stay = 11 days
