hi anyone here who is working for Philippine amusement and gaming corporation (PAGCOR)? can you give me information regarding the hiring process?how about the exam?is it hard? i will appreciate any reply. thank you.

If you don't have a "backer", it's nearly impossible to get in. My friend who works there had to wait for over a year to get hired. He's now working in one of the hotels near UP Manila. I forget which.

Their training lasted for a couple of months. The top 5 got to pick which hotel they wanted to work in. Top 6 until 20 got to make a list of hotel preferences within Metro Manila. Those who didn't make it to the top 20 were assigned to the province. Btw, after the training, the top 20 (I think) were given the choice whether they wanted to work in the casino or have an administrative job in PAGCOR.

As for the salary, it goes without saying that it pays well. My friend gets nearly 20K a month (his first job). The tips are divided equally so that even during his days-off, he earns at least 5K in tips.

you can never take the test again for the same position. decide
na lang when they do hire you. sayang kase.

sweetlavender- I'll go for it, if I were you. Just make sure if you get hired and you're on training, give the bestt you can. Imagine mo na lang, how much tip you'll be getting everyday yun lang nga once you're part of them you can't play in casino anymore....

Anyone's working in pagcor? I had my exam twice last month. But, up to now there's still no text for interview. Tingin ko naman pinasa ko yung math exam. Matagal pa talaga dun, or di ako na qualified? Thnx!
