difficult getting in? - yes, 2 screenings, i barely made it since i was just an alternate during my time..

difficult staying? - yes, since you the science and math and tech subjects have been doubled or tripled at some years plus the usual load of the usual subjects.. English, FIl, Soc Sci, etc..

experiences? - fun.. that's it.. challengingly fun..

Honestly, I can't remember haha! T'was a long time ago. What I do recall is that I had fun. The best 4 years in my life!

no, i'm probably the oldest. when i entered pisay, ms basas was teaching 1st year physics and lived at a back room in the cafeteria.

well...being a science student is really difficult..they are expecting so much from you... and it feels bad if you will disappoint them.
pero sobrang masaya maging sceince student... and i think hindi tayo dapat nagpapasikatan diba...bawat school natin may kanya-kanyang pwedeng ipagmalaki... siguro yung iba di pa alam school namin....heheheh....ang liit kasi eh...

Manila Science High School

We had longer days and nights in MASCI than most of the studentry there... and had more extra curicular activities too... like Bivoac's, Training and competition in Fort Bonifacio, Alay Lakads...haaaaaaaaay.

When did she pass away? She was one of my favorite teachers. I was the only one in our class -- maybe the entire batch -- that had the cojones to actually sit and take my notes at the end of her table during class.

One of my funniest Pisay memories was during the Pinatubo eruption earthquake.

We were in Ms. Basas' Physics class. and When the earth started shaking everyone ducked under the tables, including Ms. Basas. The tremors stopped for a couple of seconds, but while my classmates were still crouched under their tables holding their breath I had to laugh because from my vantage point I could see that Ms. Basas' had already left the classroom and was already high-tailing it to the safety of the front lobby. I never thought a person of her size could move so fast!

yup yup... im gong to meet them nga sa wednesday e (though wala ng pasok nun)... "junior faculty" ako dun e, lagi kasing tambay dun lalo na ng math club executive director pa ako... hay, miss ko na ang pisay... e si maam dinah guttierez ng 91, kilala mo? nakastudy leave siya e...

si maam jo montes, kilala mo? she's working ngayon sa loyola student center katabi ng national bookstore along katipunan... student assistant ako dun e...

kwento ko lang, yung tungkol sa earthquake... e may classmate kasi ako naconfiscate ng cellphone ni miss mijares... tapos ginawa nila, nagmiss call.. syempre nakavibra mode tas kala niya, nagearthquake daw... nung una nga e nagtanong pa siya kung may ginagawa daw ba sa ibaba kaya mainga... muntik pa nga panhulog yung phone e kakagalaw sa vibra...

malupit yung nahuli gumagamit ng phone... pano ba kasi, hindi nakasilent mode, tas nakahigh score siya sa isang game, siyempre may tunog yun... natawa na lang yung teacher namin e...

Naalala ko yang si Ms. Banta (former principal) pushing us to beat pisay! Opkors, kami naman proud na proud. Pero nung nakatuntong ako sa college, iba talaga ang pisay, magagaling sila. Hats off ako sa kanila. Pero may mga bulakbol din katulad ko ahihihi, kaya naniniwala ako regardless kung sang HS ka nagmula na "birds of the same feather, flock together"

Naalala ko rin, kaunti pa lang mga buildings namin, ngayon ata may mga bagong buildings doon eh!

Opkors proud ako sa HS ko! Kung di dahil dyan, malamang hirap ako pumasok sa UP

batch 96 ka? he he isang building lang ang nadagdag dun sa inabutan mo. Medyo misplaced pa dahil wala na ang basketball court. (at least di na nakikita ng mga nasa LRT ang mga nagp-PE he he)

kahit mahirap ang pag-aaral sa kahit anong science high school, napapayaman naman ang utak mo at maghahanda sa yo for college esp sa up ... ang magandas sa quesci super lapit sa mall kaya pagkatapos ng mahabang school hours diretso sa sm para magpalamig at magwindow shopping!
