@tahann: Do you sew all your doll's clothes? Wala ba tayong mabibilhan na mura lang na clothes and shoes, like sa Divisoria? Wala kasi akong sewing machine and medyo mahal yung barbie accessories sa malls, di ba? Thanks!!

It really depends on the market. Since I'm not in the Philippines I'm not 100% sure about the demand for collectible items there especially with the current economy.

Another factor are the details you put into the doll. The intricacy of the outfit is I think an important factor in pricing. Also the "repainting" you had to do for the doll could factor in.

If I were to put a price on your dolls, for example your religious doll with the baro't saya outfit I think could fetch $50. The Balintawak Dress around $40-50. The Maria Clara doll on first glance maybe $70-100 but could be $60-80 since I can't judge too welll on the B&W photo

Thanks for the feedback. I never knew it could go as high as that. I haven't tried selling so I really don't know how much people are willing to pay.

I sew most of the special doll clothes. I do it by hand. Plus I don't know how to control the stitches done by the machine. The regular doll clothes (RTW types), I got them during Barbie sales.

Recently I learned how to make doll shoes as well.

Naka-bookmark na nga eh! I absolutely love the shoe tutorial (Ba't ba hindi ko naisip yun?!) ! Dami ko tuloy ideas, sana sipagin ako.

Yung sa hair tutorial pala, I'd buy synthetic hair sa Broadway Gems (yung pang-ponytail na tig P23 yata yun). Nakatahi na sha pero pwede mo i-unravel para itahi sa stocking (yung wig cap) yung hair weft. Or pwede din siguro i-glue na lang para madali (pero baka naman masira pag sinuklay). Downside lang, short hair or bob lang yung mapro-produce na wig.

Yung buhok ng aswang ko sa marcella ko binili. They have pony tails costing PhP89. Mahaba yung buhok. I cut it in half before I used it in the doll. Sobra tagal lang talaga mag-reroot as in. It took me 3 days!!!

But the effort is worth it. Ngayon I'm rerooting again. I started last Friday, di pa din tapos ngayon. One week na! Sinasabay ko kasi gawa ng costume nya.
