    Help!!! Needs Yells sa cheering!

I just want to ask for your help in some suggestions/ samples of yells para sa cheering squad ng school namin. It would be great if you could list 'em down here kasi I observed by browsing in this forum a lot of people here are authorities about the topic. THANKS IN ADVANCE!

Yeah, what school do you come from?!

My suggestion is you tell us first your school, second is list down the essential ideas about your school namely, school colors, mascot or team name, and lastly what kind of yells do you need.

School name - We could create cheers out of the acronyms or use the name itself. Examples are Lasalle spelling, santo tomas spelling. Derecho Lasalle, Arriba Letran, etc.
School color - green white fight, black gold black white, fight fight blue and white, etc..
Team name - let's go archers, blue eagle spelling, warriors spelling etc.
Or do what San Beda does since the dawn of time, the Indian Yell. And since that cheer is not that related to the team name.

Or we can create tagalog, english, latin, or spanish cheers. Depends on your creativity.

Kung cheering ang hanap gayahin nyo Mapua
Kung cheering squad naman gayahin nyo na rin Mapua pati na uniform

Thanks 4 d replies! Actually, interlevel lang ang competition, sa elementary this. I came from Angelicum College and this is not done yearly in our school, so this is something new to us. The last time we had this was 1992 yata. although sa highschool evry 2 yrs. *** meron competition and sumasali rin yata sila sa WNCAA. So if you can only give some samples for us to begin with, it would be a great help for us.

First you need to create a team name for your squad in Angelicum, second is school color, next is create a unique uniform with a theme. For example, UST's Salinggawi had astroboy for a theme. You could browse through pictures of squads here and pick the one you like.

You should also try watching other cheering competitions in other schools like St. Paul, St. Scho, Assumption, Miriam, and other schools who have a rich tradition in cheerleading and cheerdancing. Kumbaga, scout your opponents. You should gain insights on what to do and what not to do.

Since this is just in the elementary, yells needed are basic and need not be complicated. Or you could compose cheers that are audible like GO TEAM GO, instead of GO (words that are too long) GO! Make sure that they are easy to follow and catchy.

Samples? I think the Mapuans here are willing to go the extra mile to help you with that.

Blue ang color ng school nmin and Raiders is the team name of the squad. That's true Altar boy, we have to simplify lang the yells kasi mga bata pa.

Blue lang ang color niyo? Wala nang iba?

I remember nung nasa Don Bosco Makati pa ako at kalaban kayo sa mga CAT competitions. Diba blue and gold kayo, or is it blue and white? Isa lang color niyo?

    Here's one simple cheer,

LET'S GO RAIDERS, LETS GO!!! (clap clap)

skulgirltrx, angelicum is a domincan order. na try nyo na ba lumapit sa DOMNET to get ideas ?

try nyo rin yung formation sa floor na gaya ng Letran na ang mga cheerleaders ay naka form ng LC (Letran College) then mag move to V- formation which means VICTORY.
Parang sa Ateneo din na may formation ng cross.
Since Angelicum kayo eh gumawa din kayo ng logo like Flying A (may wings) or logo ng Raiders.

Pag may props mas maganda kase spectators will think na pinag-aksayahan nyo talaga ang gagawin nyo.

Question: Yan ba yung Angelicum na nasa tabi ng Santo Domingo Church ? Diba may college na dun ?

  12. #12
Yup, your right, Blue Knight, me college na kami. Thanks for the ideas guys!

Hi there. Do check ESPN and American Cheerleader website as reference for costumes, lifts and yells. They even have steps and demos there.

Reading the title of thread, I thought the thread starter was a desperate soul from Baste crying for help to come up with a decent, original cheer.
