Regarding all-boys/girls schools, I don't think it matters because the child will (or at least, should) be able to socialize with the opposite sex outside school (friends in the neighborhood, etc.).

    Poveda Tuition

    Hello po..

Just wanted to inquire if anyone knows how much na K1 tuition and fees sa Poveda.

  5. #85
Just curious...are the numbers you guys throw in on a yearly or per semester basis? Our son is 1 1/2 years old and 2 1/2 more years to save up money is not that long. My husband and I want to send him to school in the Philippines (either Ateneo or Don Bosco) because we think they have better foundation for kids in their formative years.

My son is a nursey student at Falcon Learning Center in Fairview. His tuition is around P34,000 inclusive of books and supplies na yun. The owner is a former faculty at International School, Manila. Maganda ang turo. At three years old, my son can now write his full name and he can spell number words.

For those looking for a school in Q.C.

hi! i'm a mother of two boys aged 7 and 5. my youngest goes to Links at Scout Limbaga, Q.C. my eldest spent two years there before we enrolled him at PAREF-Northfield. my husband and i are very satisfied with Links. It's a progressive school and the tuition fee is P40k. we consider the ratio of the teacher and students very important and at links they only accept a maximum of 15 per class with an assistant to the teacher. at PAREF-Northfield (an exclusive school for boys) the tuition fee is P70k excluding uniform and books but the maximum students per class is only 30. plus each student is assigned a tutor, not only for academics but for spiritual and social growth. if you guys are looking for a big school for your boys i recommend this school! you can check their website http://www.paref.org/

  9. #89
bscn ako when i was in grade 1, ganyan na rin ang schedule ng school time ko eh. i think that means they have more time to study, hindi mamadaliin ang lessons. and it's a great time for them to adjust na rin sa totoong school settings. kaya na ng bata yan, mas ayoko nga na half day kasi that means, with recess pa, ilang hours na lang talaga natuturuan yung kid mo? diba?

  10. #90
    ^

  11. #91

    hi bscn!

hi bscn! sulit na nga talaga yung 35k. inclusive pa don ang books etc. regarding the time. i think okay lang naman na mag-stay ang mga bata ng ganon katagal sa school! i'm sure the school naman won't do that kung hindi kaya ng mga bata. and basta enjoy ang anak mo, okay na yon. and as pintasera said, they have more time to study. alam mo na ba kung ano'ng schedule nila the entire day at kung ilang subjects?

  12. #92

  13. #93

    actually...

mas okay nga kung installment ka muna magbayad... sayang naman kase kung along the way di magustuhan ng daughter mo. 37k okay pa rin yun. if after 3 months okay pa rin, eh di pay na the remaining balance para wala ka ng iintindihin. yun nga lang baka wala ng discount. ask them if you'll still get a discount if you pay the whole amount after three months or so.

I don't think kids would gain that much by sending them to exclusive schools na sobrang mahal ng tuition fees. I was enrolled in a Catholic school and then to a Science High School before I studied in UP Diliman. So now I basically just dwell with people who used to study in exclusive schools like Poveda, Assumption, etc. AND THERE IS NO SIGNIFICANT DIFFERENCE. I mean, people who graduated from such elite high schools didn't show that much of greater ability than anyone else. Or if they did, well they're just probably smarter - it's not because of the school. And basically, it's already proven that students who used to study in Public Science High Schools do better than anyone else. Definitely because of the intensive training you can't find anywhere else.

High School : No doubt it's Philippine Science High School. Q-Sci and MaSci prove to be really really outstanding too.

As for elementary, UP also offers such kind of education. And i think it proves worthy of attention since they train kids in a way na they will learn to cope with different kinds of kids - na for sure ay matatalino naman. Di lahat may PSP or PS3. Matratrain talaga sila to dwell with just anyone. And i think that's the most important thing.

    Well just a thought....

Hi, need help po,we're new parent and yung daughter is turning 2 this september(planning ahead for her education). im looking for a school for her, just by reading the thread i've read of UPIS, san po ito?dito kase kame sa novaliches malapit lang sa up diliman, dun po ba yun? kung hindi po, meron po ba kayong masusuggest na school?
