[MERGED] Need A Good Orthodontist (All about Braces)

Hi Doc!

I am new here pero madami na akong info. na nabasa dito. Anyway, ask ko sana kung may mairerecommend kang good and affordable dentist sa Nueva Ecija area. Habang tumatagal po kasi, napapansin ko na nagkakaroon ng space mga ngipin ko especially the upper teeth. Before, hindi sya pansinin pero now nahihiya na ako mag smile. Isa pa, sabi nila madedeformed daw ang mukha mo if hindi ito maco-correct (is that true, doc?)

Hindi naman madedeform yung mukha kasi walang namang epekto ang braces sa bungo ng tao. It's more of how your teeth appears when you smile. Kailangang malaman kung ano ang sanhi ng space sa mga ipin mo. I will send you a private message. Wala akong alam na Orthodontist sa Nueva Ecija. Malamang marerefer kita sa may Bulacan, Pampanga at Pangasinan.

okay lang saken if yung third molar. pero my dentist suggests *** sa part ng cuspid/bicuspids. ang buong akala ko pa naman din bulok na ngipin lang binubunot. hindi ba sayang yung ngipin?

Pwede yan lang kung sobrang liit lang nung midline deviation. That said, again unfortunately I cannot examine you over the internet kaya hindi ko alam kung kailangan ka ngang bunutan o hinde. Pagdating sa corrective orthodontics as much as possible you try to correct a lot of aspects, not just midline correction. Yes, we do have healthy teeth removed (usually first premolars) when needed. Kapag kinakailangan talaga eh no choice, but again we don't do it routinely.

DoC question about essix retainers. .is it normal na parang may space siya ng onti? Kasi pag nakasuot siya parang kaya kong sipsipin yung appliance meaning may space although hindi naman natatanggal ng basta basta yung retainers? Kailangan ko na bang bumalik sa ortho ko para magpagawa ng bago? Or normal naman na hindi siya dikit na dikit sa ngipin? Thank you. Nabobother kasi ako baka biglang mag move yung ngipin ko. Ü

wala na po yung isang bagang ko sa baba so yung ibang ngipin ko nag move na, nagkakaron na po ng spaces between sa teeth ko. tapos meron din po akong sungki sa may taas, bandang bagang din po. advisable po ba na magpa lagay ako ng brace?

may nakita po akong clinic sa may lacson,manila sa tapat ng UST. Uy Dental Clinic,Dr. Charlston E. Uy. Kilala niyo po ba siya?

doc question po ok lang po ba pagkatapos ng brace lumipat ng ibang dentist for fixed bridge feeling ko kasi tinataga ako sa presyo about sa fixed bridge eh... saka how much po ba talaga fixed bridge bali isang ngipin lang po tag isang wala left and right lower 1st molar.. saka ano po yung ibat ibang fixed bridge para malaman kung san ba gawa porcelain etc. saka pano malalaman..(sorry di po nagana search di ko masearch eh)

Hi Doc. Deep Bite po ako , then sabi ng old dentist ko bubunutan ako sa 1st pre-molar , then *** isang dentist naman sabi hindi na daw kailangan bunutan ... ano po ba ang ibang way para maayos *** deep bite aside from bunot. thanks

My friend is suffering from one _ under therapy sha right now pero naghahanap sya ng second opinion.

Went to my ortho again and he made me a new retainers since the old one after 5 years do not fit anymore. I am so much satisfied with my teeth but there is a small gap at the bottom of the front teeth that's why I want to wear retainers again. Will it change my facial structure and jaw alignment if I will start to wear retainers again? I am satisfied already and I just want my teeth to like post braces. Thanks.

Yes, pwede pa naman basta marami ka pa ring ipin na natitira. Hindi ko kilala yang dentistang binanggit mo.

Yes pwede naman. Hindi kasi sakop ng braces treatment ang bridges. Tungkol diyan sa Fixed bridge paki tanong mo ulit doon sa The General Dentistry thread, doon ko sasagutin.

Kapag deep bite we usually avoid extractions (with the exception of third molars and of teeth that are so badly damaged they cannot be saved)

I'll send you a private message. They only offer metal braces, walang ceramic braces.

Kung sobrang liit lang nung gap, yung tipong parang hibla ng buhok ay kayang sarhan with retainers. Kung medyo malaki yung gap, yung tipong kahit malayo ay kita, you are better off having braces again to close the space. After braces again, pwede kang lagyan ng fixed retainer para siguradong hindi maghihiwalay ang mga ipin.

Thanks for your quick reply doc despite of your busy schedule. Just one more concern. Will it change the way my mouth looks? I notice that my upper teeth are going to the right (since i started wearing my retainers again), missing the center of my nose but ortho told me that this might due to stress. Will it be okay if i will wear them only at night?

^ That's not good. You probably need another round of braces if that is the case. If the deviation is only a hairline distance then perhaps it will be acceptable to you? If it's like 3 mm or more though you will definitely need braces again. Also have your impacted wisdom teeth/third molars checked if there are any. Canting and midline correction are hard to do when there are too much teeth at the back corners of the mouth.

^I guess ortho was correct sometimes it meets the midline sometimes not, maybe I'll check it first for a couple of weeks. Just worried because going back to retainers might change how my mouth looks. I hope not.
