yes, they do get those 18,19, 20 , whatever months bonuses.
pero wag naman po sila sanang maiinggitin, marami na nga ang kanilang natatanggap na bonus, kapag may narinig silang
magbibigay ng bonus ang Parent company nila, aba aba aba,
biglang ma eemail sa presidente na dapat daw sila meron din..

kapag kami ang papasok sa building ng Smart, napakahigpit at nakakapanliit kung tumingin ang mga tao dun.

pero kapag sila naman (again, yung iba lang naman po) ang papasok sa building namin, aba aba. parang pakiramdam nila pag aari nila ang building namin.. feeling at home talaga..

nung napunta ako sa isang provincial project.. may nakasabay akong isang grupo ng tiga Smart. nauna kami sa pilahan sa ferry boat . Aba'y lintek, biglang iwinagayway nung isa ang ID nya ,pumunta sa harap at sinabing "Mama, is that the ferry for Smart"????


tsk tsk.... minsan sumosobra yata ang pagiging "SMART" nila..

Am I wrong in assuming that the people involved are from the company's marketing dept?

WHATTODO: im not sure.. i bet company trip yun ng smart kaya halo halo siguro ang department na yun..

nakakaasar lang kse pare pareho naman kaming nakapila dun sa ferry, biglang mang aagaw. ginagamit at pangalan ng kumpanya nila para magpasikat.

well, di natin maaalis sa isang company ang mga taong katulad nyan. there would always be a rotten apple in a bunch. may mga taong mabilis malunod sa isang basong tubig (or isang bagong sim sa case nya ).

Hello! i recently resigned from smart. worked w/ the co. for 2 years. i resigned not because of the long hours but because of politics and career path. smart is such a flat organization (HR said so in my exit interview) that career growth is hard to attain! They didn't approve my promotion despite strong recommendations from my manager and our head.

anyway, for those interested, the basic salary for entry level is quite low (around 9k) but w/ a guaranteed bonus of 18 months. last year, we were given 20 months. there's also rice subsidy of 1k monthly and if you're in sales and marketing, you'll be credited with P5,000 worth of prepaid credits in your celfone (doesn't matter if u use it up or not).

is the wireless centers have the same benefits compared if your working sa main office?
i already had my 3rd interview and its with the branch manager and its been 2 weeks now and havnt heard anything from them. im still hoping i get the job.

Mukhang mas maganda talaga ang patakbo ng SMART. I'm an employee of GLOBE, well before, kasi yung group namin na wireline or DATA (as opposed to wireless or MOBILE), ay naka-separate na. INNOVE na ang pangalan, although still under the same management.. pero very controversial itong move na ito and I think they violated some of our rights as an employee during the process. But everyone knew that INNOVE will eventually be sold off (they just dont want to associate Ayala's name to a company that is being sold, so they changed the name first).
Anyway, benefits in GLOBE/INNOVE is pathethic. There are only 2 bonuses, which are the mandated ones- christmas and midyear. really pathetic. rice subsidy is at 500 or 600 i think, because you wouldn't know already since they bundled it up in your monthly salary. And aside from the normal insurances, thats it. Cell phone loads? yeah, dream on!

TO ALL THE PEOPLE OUT THERE, NEVER EVER BELIEVE THAT SMART AND ALL OF ITS SUBSIDIARIES ARE RATED AS ONE OF THE BEST EMPLOYERS AROUND. THAT IS FULL OF BULLS**T. I should know coz i used to work for them. To a new hiree, they will dazzle you with their training, their so called benefits and other " pampa-lubag loob". Once you start with the real work, you will slowly notice that as the days go on, u got suckered into a career-stagnating-dead-end job and u want to get out. Oh yes they give out 18 - 20th month bonuses just like what Nero did to discontented Romans; bread and circuses. Since having this is better than zero, u can't resign....it's like being caught in one of Dante's circles of hell...U can neither move forward or backward...so, once this happens, your motivation, heart and spirit for the job erodes away..and naturally, your performance suffers..then you encounter heartless judgements from your superior and the HR. One day you wake up as just another statistic in the number of jobless people around......Is there anyone here who can speak out and proudly say that they've been working for SMART for more than 5 years already???

Don't get me wrong people and think that i am just bitter.. I got kicked out not because i was not a performer. i was a rising star in the ranks. My friend from their inner circle said that it's because they made a mistake in hiring too many people in that subsidiary and they decided to "cut back in personnel" to cut costs. So it doesn't matter if my term still has a month. They badly needed my measly salary. Just like thieves in the night, they call u with no warning at all and steal away the career they promised you. Just like that. No ifs, no buts and no grace period. Literally, i woke up the next day jobless....

As i've said, I am not bitter. In fact I am thankful that it happened. I just feel sorry for my friends who are still there. I wish i could take them with me in my new job. I love my new job. It has been 2 years already and i feel as if finally i found my home where i can stay for good and grow. My new home is called San Miguel....

ako i work for globe but ive heard comments of ppl working for smart, theyre saying the same thing...hard-earned tlaga yung mga bonuses na yun..so i guess i'll stick it out with globe muna.

a frend of mine knows somebody who works for SMART and asked her to drop by for an interview. She was not asked to deposit her resume in the databank. basta punta na lang daw sya dun, her frend got her resume and didiretso na daw sa interviewer. her call time was 1030..

when she arrived..she was asked by somebody (receptionist daw ata) if they have her resume sa databank na. my frend said no but she has an appointment with____. nagtaray ang impaktang receptionist telling her na kelangan nasa databank nila ang resume ng frend ko. the lady went somewhere and after almost 1 hour, she came back and told my frend to deposit her resume sa databank muna. asar na *** frend ko but then ginawa pa rin nya. after that, she texted *** interviewer..and the lady replied saying "i'll be there in 5mins." guess what..lunch break na, wala pa din. tapos *** masungit na receptionist ang panay nya nakakaharap. as in super bastos daw talga.

after another 30mins..my frend tried calling the interviewer. the lady rejected the call. thinking that she was indeed on her way, my frend patiently waited. past 1pm wala pa din..so she tried asking the impaktang receptionist. and to her disappointment, tinalikuran lang sya. my frend really wanted to leave na but because kilala nga nya *** nagrecommend sa kanya nahihiya naman sya. almost 2pm the interviewer arrived at mejo mayabang/*****y pa ang dating. tapos ang sabi "i seemed to have forgotten where ur resume is..can u give me another copy?" ayun..sa asar ng frend ko...she just said.."u know what, im late for my appointment...because i've been here for more than 3 hours waiting for you. i think i should go now..thanks for the time anyway.." then she left.

as in ang babastos daw talaga..mga feeling kung ***. hay...

Hello pips! Share ko lang po...

I was interview by the HR last March for the JAVA position. I waited an hour and a half (9:00 ang interview then naging 10:30).The interview lasted for 30 mins. Then after a week they called me up for another interview... That is the worst thing ever! The HR offered me 20K for my 3 years experience... the problem is that its a junior level position... kulang daw *** experience ko for the senior level... and they are having a hard time deciding where to put me... lumalabas na i'm over qualified for the junior level and underqualified sa senior... the hr also tried to renegotiate but it seems na mahirap nga...

I would accept there offer sana kaso the thing is that di pa kagad ako ma-propromote for the senior level... i have to wait pa for two years daw... Actually, I don't care whether its a tiring job or long work hours, kaya naman un as long as you know how to manage your time... even if they told me sure na *** 18 mos bonus. What i'm after is my career growth and the position... I'm currently employed kasi sa isang 16th mos pay. Maliit *** bigay nila. If you sum it all up... mahalaga sakin yung narerecieve ko monthly...

Ika nga, if the price is write...

One more thing... their Resume Databank is full of errors... You can't even place your "Pinagmamalaking" Projects...

question po ulit, once you have submited ur resume sa databank nila online, eh mga gaano naman kaya katagal bago sila tumawag sa applicant for an interview?
