I have several friends who are currently working in SMART. The company pays well and they have bonuses up to 18 month pay. And also the company gives competitive benefits to their employees.

Siyempre meron din downside, it is not cool to work daw in SMART. People have to work more than what is expected of them. Meaning they have to render overtime almost everyday. They stay till 12mn and sometimes overnight pa para matapos lang ang mga gawain.

Bukod pa doon, sabi nila, very rampant ang politics sa SMART. Mas malala pa sa government natin.

Kaya nga yung mga friends ko wanted to resign na. They starting to look for another job.

Pero if you are interested to work in this company. Then go for it. It's one of a kind experience daw.

    Share ko lang sa inyo.

    smart communications

have you tried applying in SMART? Oh my, just wanna share my experience.

I was so excited, after all, they're the best employer of the year, and just hearing all their perks and benefits makes you so eager to be one of them, not to mention that they're so strict sa recruitment process because ini-screen nila talaga each resume.

I was just turned off because they made me wait for almost 3 hours sa initial interview pa lang, they even prioritized yun mas late sa kin dumating, i could let it pass kung newly grad ako eh- that some companies have this thing of making the applicants wait to check their patience (though i don't believe on this one), but senior position na yun ina-applyan ko, that shows their professionalism, as in daan ng daan yung interviewer, didn't know na siya na pala yun.

I was just so disappointed na gusto ko ng mag walk-out, but I stayed because its unethical to do, i just want it to be over so that I can go back to my office, what a waste of time and money, and guess what, the interview didn't even last for 5 minutes.

For a company na best employer..their recruitment is something...

Grabe naman yun...sobrang un-ethical *** gnawa nila kahit new grad ka or hindi companies don't have the right to waste the valuable time of applicants

ganun din sa akin pero hindi naman 3 hours, 1 hour lang but the interview didn't even last for 5 minutes also - hehehe. initial interview din...wait pa ako ng result daw.

matagal ba magprocess ng application ang smart?

  9. #29
    Just to add...

SMART may offer up to 17/18 months pay, but this would be the same pay that other companies (eTeleCare/PeopleSupport/Sykes) gives out in 12/13 months. Parang you're given 17/18 months of 8k, e sa iba you're given 12/13 months of 15k.

    Tomato = Tomatoe

I too went through the interview process, but only had to wait 2 and a half hours instead of 3. While I was waiting, I saw the interviewers walking about, chatting with co-workers while the applicants sat and waited for their turn.

Definitely take the time to fill out the online databank at www.smart.com.ph before applying or scheduling an interview. Otherwise they'll ask you to do that at one of the computer terminals there.

Bigbadwolf, I don't know what department in Smart you're talking about (yung P8000) but I don't think Sykes/e Telecare/Peoplesupport pays as much as them. At least the people I know (Mobile VAS, Marketing).

    Extremely stressful! Imagine these scenarios:

*working late hours on the weekdays (and by late I mean 'til "sawa")
*being called to work on weekends and holidays and not being given a choice to say "no"

Stress is part of work but you need to have manageable levels of it in order to focus on other important things like family, social life, etc.

Yes, it's true they pay very, very well. But they will work you to the bone as well.

I had the chance to be interviewed around 2 yrs ago. The position I was applying for was already dept. head so the offer was very, very tempting. But I was appalled when, in answer to my question, "Why is my potential predecessor resigning?" the interviewer replied, "He's not resigning, we're kicking him out because he's a non-performer." It may have been true but a professional HR person would never say such a thing.
