depende sa position. yung mga nasa IT maliit lang yung base monthly pay. My sister who worked there for 4 years says na kung isasama yung mga bonus and all, app.. P 20K plus per month in effect and base pay....

pero kung as in talagang yung monthly salary lang, lower than that pa at maliit lang yung take home but the work is tough

mataas ba ang probability na ma-hire ang isang male for the position of a teller> basically, ano ba duties and responsibilities ng teller?hehehe by the way, saang bank ba my hiring for male tellers?

  11. #91
^^ tellers process over-the-counter transactions such as deposits, withdrawals, encashments, bills payment, etc. they also verify the quality (counterfeit detection) and quantity of cash coming in and out of the branch. they are the front-liners. at BPI, tellers also cross-sell other BPI products/services such as check-free payments with the ultimate goal of reducing teller traffic and diverting customers to alternate channels (ATMs, internet, phone, etc.).

there are a number of male tellers at BPI, usually, mas maaga silang binababa sa low counter (new accounts) than female tellers (based on observation sa mga branches na napuntahan ko).

    Thumbs up

well, you must be one hell of a smart guy, considering that you're in the otp(i heard para sa mga graduated with honors ang otp)hehehe!!!! anyway, kumusta naman ang work mo sa bpi? gusto ko din sana magapply jan kaso i read frm the other posts na mababa daw ang salary sa bpi...

banks are mostly conservative in nature due to its finacial facets. low salary but good benefits and job stability. if you have what it takes to wait for errrr...forever? that is the job for you hehehe

i think the reason why most people from banks are happy is that jobs are easier although it comes in bulk mapagta-tyagaan mo naman eh you can procastinate therefore pwede peteks. unlike in other industry like call centers, you have metrics to pass and quota to meet plus the variable time schedule. sa bangko pwede ka mag break anytime, sa call center for example bilang oras mo sa banyo hahaha cheers!

nah, i am just your average kid next door...

work is okey in bpi, i am just starting (almost 4 months at work) my career. so far so good naman, thank god.

as to salary... though it is not as high as my brother's wage (HSBC Management Trainee), it is definitely above the industry average.

masterjedi: no need to worry about your background. napaka-clerical ng work ng tellers- mostly encoding lang. but wag ka lang magkakamali coz the consequences may cost you not only your job but also money and law suits.

pychoboy: are you still happy with your job? ako, can't wait for march 2007. ayoko naman magbayad ng 200K. hiya na ako sa parents ko.

actually, a cum laude's mind is only needed in passing the OTP...but the actual job...nunca.. coz the job doesn't involve mental torture but one that is emotional, psychological and physical. sabi ko nga sa sarili ko, i didn't work hard in college to end up doing very routine and clerical things. I think most external OTP grads share the same sentiments.

i still am happy with my work... mas nakakahiya sa parents ko if i quit work as both of them are bankers! but i will take note of what you said, sabi nga nila madugo ang buhay Asst Manager!

by the way pare, you are from what batch? and what school?
