Dany Heatley is one gifted skater, like a mixture of Brett Hull and Pavel Bure when he plays(except for the age). Atlanta found gold in Heatley, and I think he'll be their franchise player. Heatley may also have a good team mate in Ilya Kovalchuk, but defense-wise, Heatley has the edge. Kovalchuk must learn to be a two-way winger, not just shoot or deke the puck to the crease, he must also learn to be physical and how to keep the puck out of the opponent's red zone. Kaya malabo pakawalan ng Atlanta si Heatley, intelligent player din.
If they acquire good able and skilled blue liners, and a couple of good veterans for leadership in their line-up, plus a no-nonsense goalie, the Thrashers can be contenders, and trouble for the teams in the east. It's feels bad to see a talented athlete go to waste in a mediocre team.
What do you guys think of the Russian Rocket, Pavel Bure, is he gonna finish the season with skates or crutches? Will he still strut his moves like he used to in his Vancouver and Florida days?
