There's also this cool new bookstore...Aeon Books, in Loyola Heights Condominium, corner Abada and Dela Rosa...in front of Gate 3 of Ateneo.

You can also order books there, and mostly, they specialize in contemporary literature. Not exactly the titles you'd find in National, PB, Fully Booked....

Aeon books is expensive. Some of the books there are sold in Powerbooks for half the price. What makes me sad is that they're selling Life of Pi in paperback for P750! That's a bit too much. Too bad Powerbooks doesn't have that. Still, I like their selection of books. Bargain books don't look bad and the price is really cheap. A friend got The Notebook for 20php.

Guys how about an on-line bookshop na based dito sa Pi'nas? Kasi I want to collect those rare books na di ko mahanp-hanap sa mga bookstores. "yung website naman ng National Bookstore eh limited titles lang ang ino-offer at 'yung mga easily to find pa.

    I want this thread revived!

I'm sick of going to National Bookstore, Powerbooks and other overpriced stores. Libreria in Cubao X ,the only indie book store i have been too here in the metro closed a couple of months ago! So can we please have this "reactivate" this thread again so we can help each other out in terms of looking for cheap and rare books out there? Thank u!

La Solidaridad Bookshop sa may Padre Faura Street, Ermita, Manila

    and

Popular Bookstore sa may Tomas Morato, Quezon City

Two quaint bookstores that I like. Surprisingly, I always end up buying a lot of books here compared to Fully Booked in Bonifacio High Street, which is bigger and supposedly packed with books but I still leave the store empty handed.
