My bf and I plan to have a secret marriage this April kasi he lives in Canada and will be leaving around third week of April. We're both 24 and we really love each other but our folks told us saka na kami magpakasal like yung bongga talaga kasi we both dreamed of it as well as our folks. Kaso gusto na talaga namin magpakasal kahit wag muna church wedding. So we'll defy the rules of our parents for the sake of our love. Anyway, punta kami kahapon sa isang nagkakasal malapit dito sa amin to ask for requirements and nasabi kasi namin na sa Canada nakatira si bf although this year pa lang siya mag-ctizenship. So he's still considered as a Filipino pa talaga. Tapos ako naman eh I live naman in a nice place (at nakita pa nung bruhang babae na I drive a car), patawan ba naman kami ng 8k, all in na raw! Sabi pa niya "Hindi naman mahal di ba?" Nabad-trip pa si bf kasi parang bini-brainwash pa ako nung babae na "Sigurado ka ba? Kasi lam mo naman, every year nag-ma-mature ang lalake at every moment, nakakakita ng babae dun sa kanila." Pero inamin din nung babae kasi na she thought we're minors kasi the way we look is young for our age (must be the height siguro... ) So ayun, magtatanong pa ulit kami bukas sa iba at sasabihin na lang namin na we are both Pinoys para di mahal (as advised by the babae also. pero bakit kaya 8k bigay niya sa min considering I've read here at sa ibang forums na 3k lang, complete and legal na rin? ) Pasaway... Sana may makapag-advise naman din dito kung san may mura...

Madaling kumuha ng marriage license sa San Juan.. Ang Makati City RTC employees have contacts with people in San Juan City Hall to be able to get the license easily.. but you need to pay more than the usual..

There's no such thing as Secret Marriage.. Kasi when you apply for the license, normally, pinopost nila yon, kaya may sinasabi na 10-day period bago kayo ikasal.. Kung ano ang requirements ng magpapakasal ng civil, church or "secret" pa yan ay pareho lang, depende kung saan lugar mo kukunin yung license, dun lang nagvavary yung mga requirements.

Siguro, "secret" na sinasabi eh, yung hindi ka magiimbita ng kakilala mo kaya nagiging secret..

^^ add lang po... yung sa church, may iba pang requirements na hinihingi kung saan church kayo magpapakasal... i'm talking about the requirements ng marriage license (major requirement para ka ikasal)

^^ if you are 25 years old below, you need the parental consent... hindi pwede na dayain ito... i was talking about the ones na hindi na kelangan ng parental consent--26 years above.. eto ang pwede ng mabilisan... pwede rin maexpedite yung license nyo kung pirmahan ng parent/s nyo yung application form :-)

yup..im only 21 kase...wlang prob sa family ng bf ko..pero my parents, they will surely have the big NO for the marriage! so i think we dont have the option...just to wait is the best thing to do..

and be reminded too that not everyone is jealous of your state (not everyone dreams to be in America) ...kung ganyan rin lang ang ugali mo there is no reason for anyone to envy you... nakakahiya ...too proud of yourself...

What i have heard is that now a foreigner who wants to marry in the phils needs a phil cenomar as well plus of course the legal capacity to marry from his home country (embassy).
The reason for this seems to be that some foreigners married in the phils but never had the marriage registered in their home countries and then married a second time. Or at least that is what the phil authorities are suspecting might happen.

sa town namin, di nag-kakasal ang judge sa labas ng courthouse. but our civil ceremony is all planned with entourage chorva. pede kayang magpakasal kami sa courthouse then pakasal kami sa venue namin pero hindi na jugde?para lang sa ceremony but the papers are all signed.

hi, pede ko bang malaman kung ano ang mga requirements para sa civil wedding? My american bf and I planning to get married here in our country.. ano ba ang requirements na dapat kunin? 2 weeks lang ang vacation nya, so pano ko mapapadali yun? magkano ang dapat gastusin sa for all expenses including reception for practical reason..?
in fact he prefer to get us married in church but he does'nt have much time because he needs to get back to work? according sa mga nakausap ko na mas matagal ang preparation for church wedding? sabi nya ok na raw ang papers nya ksi he asked already the US Embassy for the requirements to get married here in the philippines..pro ako.. di ko alam what if i'm gonna do first.. help me po..oh by the way, i am singlemom i have 6 daughters but i never been married since before and being separated for 13 yrs. my bf and I had already 1 yr relationship and he supported me regularly for all I and my daughters needs. kaya lang this time i must to be practical so i'd rather choose to get married in civil.. help me naman...thanks
