Even if the school's passing rate is above the national passing rate which is 37% last year, SBC still needs to look for ways for improvement because it is lagging behind provincial school who's passing rates are well above 60% such as University of St. La Salle, Mariano Marcos State University, DLSU-D and Silliman.
I would not tag 60% as "very good" for San Beda, for I know SBC could do better.
But hands down to their Law program.![]()
sino po dito ang kagaya kong mga incoming first years sa COL?
Transferees from other law schools will start as freshies in SBC Law. Walang iccredit na kahit anong subject. Hindi lang ako sure kung in effect pa yung policy na pag nag law na sa ibang school inaadmit. You're from UST? Well retention ang poproblemahin mo sa SBC. Sobrang hirap kasing maretain sa San Beda Law.hello.. plan to transfer to beda sa 2008 eh... im from UST Law... u think macrecredit yun mga subjects ko?, and u think they will accept transferees?
Sa histroy ng San Beda, konti lang ang nag transfer ng hindi umuulit ng 1st year...some of them are...Justice Regalado, Atty. Navato and in recent time, Prof Lutian...bakit sila tinanggap???.....Sobra silang matalino....They belong to the exceptional students, which is allowed under the rules of admitting students as tranferree
san beda accepts transferees. I have known a lot of kickouts from the top 4 universities who went to san beda. At that time, beda has been encountering low enrollees in their colleges.
^on drugs ata ito or outright dumb
1) This is about San Beda College of Law. One of the Top 3 Law Schools in the country depending on how you look at it. In terms of passing % San Beda Law is number 1. The Top Three are (San Beda, Ateneo de Manila and UP Diliman)
2) I am familiar with the Top 3 Universities (UP Diliman, Ateneo de Manila University and Dela Salle University) having been there. La Salle does not have a law program. I think their JD is tied with FEU. So how can kick out of DLSU Law even transfer to SBC Law if DLSU does not even have a law program.
3) When admitted to SBC Law you are made to sign an agreement that states that you have not entered any law school any misrepresentation in this agreement is dealt with harshly.
4) San Beda Law never had a problem with enrollees on the average first year sections ranges from 12 -18 of about 30 students each. Now San Beda Alabang even have a law school. By 2nd year only 6 sections remain and by their junior year only 3 sections remain and then only 1 or 2 sections graduate.
5) On a personal level, I know some who were cut from 1st year of San Beda were able to transfer to other universities. They did not get into either Ateneo or UP but they were admitted to Arellano, PLM,UE, FEU and some even got into UST but they did repeat 1st year.
sbc is really the best...bedan lawyer kaya dean namin ngayon....tsaka *** former tutor ko bedan din...
totoo..magaling tl mga bedan, magand un training na sa law school, kaya *** talo ako s schedule ** sa sbc law alabang, working kc ako engineeering p, tsk tsk,so whatdo you tink guys? lipatako arellano or stay nlng **?heheehe
^kenren what I am about to tell you was told to me by a relative. She graduated with latin honors in college at UP Diliman and she is very smart. While working she opted to study at San Beda Law because at that time Ateneo was having problems daw with fraternities (it was the time daw when one neophyte died during a hazing incident) while UP is out of the question because it was far from her job. She was not really aware of how difficult it was to study law at San Beda Manila while working. Unfortunately, she did not make the GPA in her 1st year because she had subjects wherein she had problem with absences. Kasi her schedule coincided with her busy schedule at the office wherein she was assigned at a company that had a different fiscal year. Disappointed she quit law, and forgot about it until about 4 years after when she was already stable with her job having been promoted. She repeated the whole process, took Ateneo Law's entrance exam passed and was able to graduate. Took the bar and passed it with flying colors. Of course she rarely talks about her San Beda experience, she only told me this after I told her my plans to pursue a law degree.
Her advise to me is that you cannot serve two masters at the same time. Mahirap daw pagsabayin kung demanding ang trabaho mo. So I guess you really have to make a choice.
^^Pero kung ako sa yo kenren...magstay ka na lang din and see what happens kasi if they boot you out at least you will grow in terms of experience sa San Beda Law. Advantage na yan paglipat mo sa ibang law school
