Surviving a LONG Distance Relationship

loveisblind 7 years? Wow that's long ha. Sobrang nabilib naman ako sayo. It seemed really hard to survive that long but it was nice to know you still chose to hold on. Iba talaga ang nagagawa ng pagmamahal.

I hope some people who are already in the verge of giving up could be inspired by your story. Konti nalang kasi ang mga patient people eh. Oh well, welcome to the club.

i'm about to join the LDR club again. my bf is leaving for school in a few days.

unfortunately we cant spend as much time as we want with each other because i have sore eyes and i cant risk him getting them also. so the next time i'll get to kiss him is when he comes home for Christmas.

I'm thankful this year he plans to go home. kasi last year he wasnt able to.

maxieGRL good for you. at least you'll be able to enjoy Christmas with him. Sayang naman may soreeyes ka. You won't be able to see him go. Well, at least you'll be spared of the pain of seeing him off. I have went through it, I couldn't help but cry when I got home. Pero eto, still surviving. I hope matuloy nga pag-uwi niya this Christmas eh.

_LoRrAiN3_ unfortunately nakakahawa magkiss..kasi i'm sure i'll be crying..and my tears will be deadly kasi it will carry the virus or bacteria.

pagaling na nga. unfortunately, i'm guessing i will be noncontagious by wednesday or thursday pa...he'll be settled in his apartment by then.

baby_07 i wont see him off nga pero i cant say good bye properly din. haay..ever since i got my sore eyes i've been crying already. maslalo tuloy masakit mata ko...

but you're both right at least i can look forward to Christmas.

he is currently airborne enroute to chicago. i already miss him so much.

from my experience, its the first few weeks that are the hardest and it gets easier after that. though its still hard and you really wont miss him any less..pero nasasanay ka din na wala siya sa tabi mo.

i have been enjoying the stories of ups and downs of being in LDR. its gud to know that there are a lot of peeps keeping the love alive inspite of the distance. sana madami pa inspirational stories of LDR, para lalo din ako ma-inspire and not to give up.

maxieGRL yeah, i agree with you.....hirap pag yung first few weeks....yun kase yung time na kailangan mag-adjust na wala sha tabi mo and you just can't call him to be with you. ok lang yan....as long as magtatawagan, email or chat kayo parati....

talaga bang nag wowork out yan gnyan relationship kasi after graduation i plan to work abroad and rite now i have a gf panu ko sasabihin sa kanya and bka iwanan nya ko even though sbihin m na babalikan m sya

I am not in one nor have I been in one pero I believe the LDRs can survive because I am around people who are in such relationships. Minsan nga feeling ko mas okay kasi they tend to be more patient and generous with each other. Plus, they always have something to look forward to i.e. visits, phone calls, chats, etc.

Kakaawa lang sila minsan kasi they hardly sleep na, lalo na if they are from different continents. Pero what the heck! All for love naman

maxieGRL He left na pala. That's sad. Pero okay lang yan. You can handle it if you want to and if you believe that you can do it. First few weeks or months, medyo mahirap talaga adjustments. Pero masasanay ka rin. That is, if you would succumb yourself with the reality of the situation. Di naman ganun ka-sad if both of you would exert an effort. Sarap kasi nung feeling na gagawin niya lahat para lang makausap ka niya. Goodluck!

rac21 LDRs may or may not work. its fate depends on the willingness of both to work it out. it ain't easy, i tell you. it takes a lot of patience and faith. and money as well. it's your choice, eventually,on how much you really want to keep the person, despite the distance.

pretty_pinay Like what my friend always tell me, "You deserve an award!" I also believe it can survive as long as you accept the situation and live with it. In LDRs, you also learn how to keep your promises as well.

winstonlights yeah, may LQ pa rin kahit na magkalayo kayo. Actually, nag-uumpisa yan pag masyado tayong honest. what i mean is, we update each other of the things that are happening to us, even our mistakes and kalokohan. Pero after a while, maaayos din. Most of the time, namimiss lang talaga natin ang isa't-isa.

Even though we are far away from the person we truly love, we know that he/she misses you, loves you and longs for you that way you do for him/her.

We are all under the same sky.

baby_07 alam ko kaya ko... its going to be our second year in an LDR. he goes to school in the US..so he's only here durign the summer. we got together summer of 2003. thank God its already his last year of school. after that he'll decide whether to stay here for good or work inthe US until he can save enough for us.

hi everyone! kamusta? baby_07? lorraine? at kayong lahat, musta lovelife? hehe... ako, eto, kakacheck lang ng mail at naguguluhan na naman. after ilang months of not talking to each other, i sent him an email asking him to call. nag reply naman sya, kinakamusta ako at tinatanong kung ano daw ang pag uusapan namin! ansaket. parang wala na pala kaming dapat pag usapan. but at least, alam ko, lilinaw na ang lahat. nag reply ako e and i asked him kung ano na ba sa tingin nya ang nangyayari sa relationship namin. from the way i look at it, ayaw nya na. ano pang choice ko kung ganon diba. i know i'll be ok na din. i just dont want to leave loose ends (tama ba?). i want to set things straight. ano man ang maging decision namin, i know i can deal with it na kung mapapag usapan muna namin.
nakaklungkot no. after all the sacrifices and everything, ganito pa din. oh well, ganyan talaga. baka mag ba-bye na ko sa thread na to? pero may naaamoy akong eyeball ah? sama muna ako jan!!!

eto, medyo sad ngayon kasi wala siya e bday ko. pero ok lang. kasi he was the first one to greet me and sobrang i felt really special to him. dami niya kasing surprises kanina sakin. to all those who are sad, smile lang kayo! kasi mahal nila kayo!

hmmm i dont know if this question is for this forum ... but im just wondering if yun mga nag ldrs have experienced SOP atleast once!? kasi diba when u miss someone too much u tend to do things out of the ordinary.
