was in tagaytay yesterday. actually this place is not new to me because we always pass by tagaytay everytime we visit our house in batangas. ive seen sonya's garden, people's park in the sky, highlands (exclusive place), picnic grove.....but yesterday was my first time to cross the lake and see the crater of taal volcano. maganda..adventure..pero grabe ang gastos! 1,500 ang boat..500 tourist guide fee (nagulat kami na bayad palang ganun kahit sinamahan lang kami at wala naman talaga syang ginawa) . tapos when you reach taal volcano..you pay 50 for the dept of tourism..then you have to pay 600 for the horse that will take you to the crater..malayo din paakyat pero kung matiyaga ka maglakad..go!
when i got home, i told my dad about the expensive trip. he told me that there's another route in agoncillo, batangas that we don't need the horse thing to reach the crater but just a boat to cross the lake. pero if you want the excitement and tourist effect, boat via tagaytay nga daw.
tip lang: just to save...bring food and drinks kasi tatagain kayo duon..imagine kumain kami sa may resort kung saan yung daungan ng bangka...3 tilapia and a bowl of rice is already 700 pesos! hold-up talaga! parang sana bumili na lang kami sa chowking or jollibee then dinala namin duon. well, too late for remorse. pero kung sa experience and fun, we had fun din naman.

We went to visit Tagaytay yesterday..

Anyone who had a bad experience in Bag of Beans? I don't want to comment any further than this kasi ang gaganda ng comment in the previous post but naramdaman nyo na ba yung "FOOD is excellent and superb but the service is BAD". No matter how good the food is e nawalan ka ng gana dahal sa pinakitang pag-uugali. Inubos na lang namin yung food dahil sayang naman binayad namin. Grabe dun ko na-appreciate service ng Jollibee.

In fairness the manager is so accommodating, polite and apologetic and how I wished the staff (or a certain staff- to be fair) would be as accomodating, polite and apologetic as the manager is..

    Hay...

Has anybody spent the christmas holidays in Tagaytay? Ano bang mga gimmick-gimmick ng mga hotels dun na pwedeng salihan? We regularly check-in at Kimberly Hotel which is very accessible to the main city but far enought to secure some needed privacy to get the not-Manila feeling!

Guys aside from Discovery Country Suites' Oxford room, ano pa ibang place sa tagaytay na may fireplace? Masyado kasi mahal yung sa Discovery. 15K ata per night. I need a room for couple na may fireplace. Thanks

  18. #1678

Me and some agents went to Tagaytay last saturday right after our shift. We 1st went to Mahogany Market & had lunch (super tipid). Then we went to Caleruega to take some pictures & roam around, a very nice place... almost a sanctuary. Then We went to Sonya's Garden to take a peek... Next stop was at Green Ats(overlooking) had some halo halo, beer, pizza & hot choco. Then we bought some fruits & drop by at Collettes before going home.
