i go to FF Abs. Umm... all i can say is... after 8 months or so... lumakas sobra resistensya ko. mga kalaro ko ng bball couldnt believe i can last so long sa court na

yung Cosmic Cycling's addicting as hell. i do a class and a half of those.. (ie, i sign up for the next class. pero if may space sa current class, i join in rin).

its big??? the vanity room including the sauna and steam room is small compared to other branches... the consultation area is BIG! wonder why?... tsk tsk

the best cycling studio. i'm one of the cycling instructors so i should know. hehe

it has the smallest locker rooms. fort's and rst's locker rooms are twice as big. tska mejo maingay dito sa manila. lalo na sa gabi. pakalat-kalat ang mga tao.

the best cycling studio? it may look good bec its new but what the heck are their classes - RPMs not much cosmic cycling which is far better exciting... and i asked one of their cycling instructors the reason for it.. his answer "to preserve the bikes"...

hay! isa sa pinakabulok na sistema sa mga branches ng fitness first.. btw, palaging walang softdrinks! tsk tsk.. kung malapit lang sa ofc ko ang ABS...

i was speaking as an instructor when i said it has the best cycling studio. the microphones are working most of the time, and if they're not, it's still ok because the room is not that big and i don't have to really shout. the stage is elevated enough so i can really see all the participants, it's easier to correct and rectify. also connect better with the people in the class. the lighting's just ok, not too dark or bright, just enought to see all the participants.

also it's easier to control the music because the audio system is just beside the instructor. unlike say in the fort where the instructor has to reach down to control the pitch or the volume.

yup i've heard some complaints about not having cosmic classes but mostly from old members from other branches. those who are new and home members in manila and are not really familiar with cosmis don't complain. classes are still full though, specially at night.

what you can do is request for additional classes. there are still a lot of open slots for cycling.

i do agree with broccoli on the cycling studio and i do take rpm class most of the time that i'm there in the evening. i don't have any complaints whatsoever.

alam ko kasi, they require it. kahit gamitin mo pa cc ng friend mo. like i did before i got my own cc. hassle kung gagamitin mo cc ng friend mo. kasi, binabayaran ko *** dues ko on time, she hinde. tapos me mga penalty charges pa. d ko lang kasi sure kung nachacharge sha pati sa gym fee ko e.

anyways, pero may alam akong cases na sila ang nag "proprovide" ng cc for you. basta u have to pay before the 25th (ata) of the month para hinde magreflect sa card. kasi 2 of colleagues got into ff with that setup. although both of them stopped going to the gym na rin.

I paid cash for my membership at Fitness First. Even if the sales rep did his darndest to get my credit card number. DO NOT EVER GIVE FITNESS FIRST YOUR CREDIT CARD NUMBER, or you will one day regret it. Ask other members, or search Pex for threads on FF, you'll find out why.

case to case basis siguro. i'm a member for more than 2 years and in that period i have changed credit cards 4 times. nothing bad happened. kaya in my account they have 4 of my credit cards, only 2 of which are active though. all monthly dues go to card A. Other purchases like body care go to card B. they know it already.

my friend gave her boyfriend's card number but she pays cash before the 25th of every month. i find it very inconvenient though. at least pag care, di ka na magdadala ng cash at pumila sa counter. minsan kasi when she forgets to pay, syempre di sya pinapapasok.

hi! i'm a member of the club but i have no time to go to the gym so nasasayang lang ***.. i asked my consultant and he told me na i could find someone who wants to join so i could transfer my account to him or her. so if ur interested i could transfer mine to you. i'll pay for the joining fee of 1500, so u'll just pay for the monthly fee which is (P2190). i still have 8 months in the contract if you will start this november 2005 kc i already paid for the october. i can even give my fitness first bag, water bottle, towel and headphones. message me if ur interested or you know someone who is interested. Thanks!

The problems start when you try to terminate or even just freeze your membership. They have vague cut-off dates, and hidden charges, and in the meantime, while they have your card number, you keep on paying. Indeed I've seen and heard many irate members who for various reasons had to stop going to the gym, such as pregnancy, injury, travel, etc. and yet charges kept on appearing on their credit card statements.

Off topic again: What's the difference between RPM and Cosmic Cycling?

I regularly attend RPM kasi every Monday night (FF Manila), but I can remember I attended one session wherein parang merong choreography yung class. Yun ba yung cosmic?

    Paki clarify lang guys.....

    Thanks

RPM is just like speed cycling (boring! ang eventually magsasawa ka) whereas in cosmic, there is variation... ako, even back to back cosmic kaya ko...RPM, i can stand for only 20 mins...

Cosmic has more "moves" than RPM. It also uses the special lights in the spinning room.

I like going FF RSC! And I like Cosmic Cycling as well. Hmm, your nick looks familiar, I think I tknow you.

pansin ko halos lahat yata ng paminta sa RST lumipat na yata sa malate. hehehe. sarap na tuloy sa RST, nabawasan ng konti ang tao.

  18. #98
hehe. that's so true. karamihan ng bading sa RST nasa manila na so officially robinsons manila is they GAY-est fitness first branch. it used to be RST.

about dun sa difference between RPM and cosmic cycling, RPM (http://www.lesmills.com/site/program...s-program.aspx) is more structured. it is a les mills program; like body pump, jam, combat, and balance. all instructors follow the same choreography and use the same music. there is a new release every 3 months in fact RPM 28 will be launched in the philippines starting late october. parang sini-simulate nya yung actual road race, so it has pace, rolling hills, free spin, mountain climb, stuff like that.

cosmic cycling is not structured, freestyle cycling sya meaning iba-iba ang style ng mga instructors. mas maraming movements and kasama ang upper body.

i don't think RPM is boring though. mas sanay lang ang tao sa cosmic cycling since it was introduced first. but if you goto RST or RCBC i believe pareho lang acceptnace ng tao sa RPM and cosmic. RPM classes in RST are full like in manila. nasanay lang kasi ang marami to the orientation na mas maraming galaw, mas maganda. in fact mas mahirap ang RPM and safer if i could say that. we're also trying to make cosmic cycling safer, may mga moves that are not allowed anymore. anyways, i love both programs and see you at the gym!!!!!
