Leche flan--- I make my own. Its so easy to make. You can also play around to change its flavor. You can use pandan extract, orange peel, chocolate extract or kahlua instead of vanilla and calamansi.

A black and white suman from Visayas. I forgot what it's called. But super sarap sya.

Polvoron filled chocolate

Sago't gulaman with pandan extract

Queso sorbetes

Can I ask a question?

My mom and I were looking this thread over and I asked her Mommy ano ang Ginumis ?

And Mom doesn't know either. I don't know either...I only know the main desserts. Ano ba yun.

She said TINUMIS. But that's the same thing as Dinuguan (Blood Chocolate Stew) diba that you eat with puto.

I was like Nooooo Mommy...these are desserts they are talking about.

So can you tell me what a Ginumis is?

Thanks

Thumbs up

Mmm...Pinoy desserts...sarap...

I love:
- buko pandan
- sans rival
- those yema ball things (the ones with the syrup/toffee casing)
- leche flan
- pichi-pichi
- maja blanco (is that right? kinda like a white jelly like substance)
- suman with ube halya (because at Christmas time in my dad's province every house you go to has this and they make you eat!)
- and I think it's called puto bong-bong (sorry grew up here in Sydney not too sure on spellings cause that looks wrong!)
chaka gusto ko rin *** "hopeless" hahhhahhah sa mom ko nakuha *** term na yan. it's what they used to call the tikoy type roll dredged in peanut & sesame crumbs with a similar ground peanut/sesame seed filling. d ko rin alam tawag eh. basta i remember hopeless kasi daw if u pick it up, it just droops down. aba hopeless nga!

Fruit salad. I like to mix/pour in the sweetened cream right then and there...no pre-mixing. Yah I know it's not exactly Filipino, but for some reason, I associate ambrosia to Filipino cuisine. Maybe because it's the only salad that's fattening.
